mmoffitt Posted March 16, 2011 #1 Posted March 16, 2011 I just installed the 1.5 inch risers...I notice the rubber piece between the handle bars and the faring don't reach that high...so there's no rubber between the bars and the faring...is it necessary? And if so, where would I find some high density rubber like that to make an extension? Thanks! Mike

Mike No extension needed... you can either turn them upside-down and jam them in on opposite side or do like others and add an adapter. Look in this thread to see what I'm talking about... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57431&highlight=riser
sarges46 Posted March 17, 2011 #3 Posted March 17, 2011 In my thoughts the fairing rattles too much without the rubber stopper. I put mine in upside down and wedged it in there. I tried it without and didnt like the new sounds it was making.
rumboogy Posted March 17, 2011 #4 Posted March 17, 2011 Go to Autozone (or other parts store), and pick up the RUBBER SPRING STIFFENERS (under $10 for 2 of them) and then use a hack saw to make them the size you need.
