Looks like the last nice day for awhile so I decided to head out for a full day ride. Don't know where I'll end up maybe Alton.

Sure wish I could take a long ride today...

Supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny most of the day....

I'll be watching the weather around Dec 21st thru 26th ...I want to ride down to Sarasota fl to see my parents...

I have been wishing for a ride all week.......supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow.........sitting here going through have to do things before Turkey day, had it all arranged to get done at noon, run home and get Crickett and Sandy and go for a spin. Phone rings, Kit we have this emergency, another plumber left us stranded......the bank has given us a 12 noon deadline......I looked at the phone......looked at the floor........told them ......Sorry, I am busy......I am going for that ride tomorrow, playing hookey!!

It was cloudy and about 65 here today so I left work at 11:00 and took off with a couple of friends and we got in about 150 miles of nice riding today.

I came home a couple of hours early tonight but won't get a chance for a ride. Lucky you!!

Well, got to go for about 4.5 hours and 200 - 300 miles. Back roads, interstate, hit them all. It was very theraputic. Didn't seem to be a lot of cars out and almost felt like I had the roads to myself. Only saw 3 other bikes. All HD.

 

I have a feeling rides will be few and far between for awhile. Every weekend from now till Christmas I will be helping my Cousins on their Tree Farm. Add that to all the Holiday stuff and time will be pretty short.

 

I guess I have to just start counting down to the Natchez tour.

On the Calendar, Rooms reserved. Lowell and I are splitting rooms. We didn't get them at those high brow places you and your wife are staying at:rotf:. Had to go cheap and make sure we could perpetuate our bad habit (smoking) Trying to decide whether I'm going to try and make it to Natchez in one day 750 miles. Probably do 2 and leave IL on wed 8/16.

Got home from work-65 & cloudy, got my daughter (home from college), jumped on the bike and rode down to my sons basketball game ( the long way, you know). After the game we meandered our way back through the country to the house, couldn't find enuff back roads; ended up going back to school to see if team was back yet. She wasn't ready to quit riding yet, seems she likes my old Venture better than her ex-boyfriends crotch rocket! Something about her b**t not going numb! Only 60+ miles on the ride, but the school is only 20 miles the way the crow flies. Any seat time is better than none!
