MikeWa Posted March 14, 2011 #1 Posted March 14, 2011 It's been constant for weeks. One storm behind the other and I hate riding in this stuff. Mike
Reddog170 Posted March 14, 2011 #2 Posted March 14, 2011 Well at least you can say your bike has been washed.Shaun
Keemez Posted March 14, 2011 #3 Posted March 14, 2011 Hmm..... Seattle..... rain..... who'da thunk it?
mhaigwood Posted March 14, 2011 #4 Posted March 14, 2011 Lived there for 20 years in Yelm,Wa. Moved to Texas around 2 years ago, put more miles on my bike than the 6 years I owned it in Wa. Dont miss the Wa. piss. Mark
awsmsrv Posted March 14, 2011 #5 Posted March 14, 2011 Hmm..... Seattle..... rain..... who'da thunk it? Yep. I ride in it just about every day. My riding gear keeps me dry. Bike gets pretty dirty, but, I bought it to ride it, not park it.
camos Posted March 14, 2011 #6 Posted March 14, 2011 Yep. I ride in it just about every day. My riding gear keeps me dry. Bike gets pretty dirty, but, I bought it to ride it, not park it. It's such a bonus when an occasional day with dry roads happens so I can accelerate in the twisties without a pucker. Small minds can enjoy small things.
Trader Posted March 14, 2011 #7 Posted March 14, 2011 It's been constant for weeks. One storm behind the other and I hate riding in this stuff. Mike Count your blessings! You could be like us northerners and have snow and ice. At least you can ride!
Keemez Posted March 14, 2011 #8 Posted March 14, 2011 Count your blessings! You could be like us northerners and have snow and ice. At least you can ride! Hey whaddya talkin?!?!? Snow IS a blessing. Just gotta have the other style of Venture (snowbound) that Yamaha makes. Or something relatively equivalent.
SilvrT Posted March 14, 2011 #9 Posted March 14, 2011 It's been constant for weeks. One storm behind the other and I hate riding in this stuff. Mike Our lawn is so saturated with water it just "squishes" when I walk on it. The farmer's fields have turned into lakes of sloppy mud. Looks like we might be in for a bit of a break by the weekend tho (fingers crossed).
Seawolf Posted March 14, 2011 #10 Posted March 14, 2011 Count your blessings! You could be like us northerners and have snow and ice. At least you can ride! Ditto!!! We have had a week of interment rain and temps in the 40' and still have a foot of snow on the ground. we are suppose to have another week of 40's to 50's maybe by then I will see bare ground more likely mud.:snow2: Bob
silverdeer0454 Posted March 14, 2011 #11 Posted March 14, 2011 NW "Gathering Of The Guard" is scheduled for July 23 and 24...Hope it dries out by then. Right now my bike is too clean to ride it in the rain.
Pam Posted March 14, 2011 #12 Posted March 14, 2011 Hey whaddya talkin?!?!? Snow IS a blessing. Just gotta have the other style of Venture (snowbound) that Yamaha makes. Or something relatively equivalent. I am with Trader on the rain vs snow. At least you can ride, and you don't have to shovel it. I have tried the snow equivalant and like to ride without a ski doo suit. Last weekend couldn't see accross the yard for snow and blowing snow. A wise 18 year old decided to walk home from a bombadire that was stuck on the ice in the storm/blizzard That was friday when I went home saturday he was still out there some where, and he had a skidoo suit. can't wait for the grass to show frank:snow:
