a1bummer Posted July 21, 2011 Author #26 Posted July 21, 2011 So does anybody happen to know if Crooked Creek is still gonna be open come this fall? If nobody has checked in with them lately, I can try to give them a call after work this after noon. If I can remember anyway. If not, what are our other options? Bill

Bill Hey Bill, Yes the Crocked Creek is going to be open. I have booked the same cabin I had last year. The date is going to be October 6th to the 9th with rides on 7th and 8th (Friday & Saturday) same as last year. (Hope you can still make it as I know you said earlyer the first weekend worked better for you I think? ) I will put all the contact info and all in here tonight when I get off work. Ken and I are switching days this year, he will lead Friday's ride & I Saturday's. "Ken is in charge of weather again as he did such a good job last year take'in care of Mother nature.":whistling: Hope to see everyone there again and some new faces. Should be good again. Later, Bryan
wkoepke Posted July 22, 2011 #28 Posted July 22, 2011 we are thinking about coming this year. do you have a phone number for this place? thanks, bill.
a1bummer Posted July 27, 2011 Author #29 Posted July 27, 2011 It is the "Crooked River Resort" S8019 US Highway 61 Readstown, WI. 54652 1-608-629-5624 I reserved the Rustic cabin, same as last year. Now who is gonna bring what? I can bring my tripod grill, hotdogs, a dozen or so cheddar/jalapeno brats and burgers again for one of the nights to share. And I'll be sure to bring some sauerkraut for Lisa! I'll try to remember to grab my bowsaw as well. Unless I can find a small chainsaw for cutting fire wood. Is there anything anybody else can think of to grab? I'll bring my fancy schmancy clip-on LED headlight so I can be like Bryan as well. Oh ya! I can grab some Duct tape, bubble wrap, and training wheels for Ken. Bill

bryan52577 Posted July 28, 2011 #34 Posted July 28, 2011 Hello everyone, I have talked it over with Ken and we have decided to have another Wisconsin Leaf Lookers ride. We had one last year and everyone that came seemed to have a pretty good time. So below is all the info, and I think I got it on the calendar then everyone can say how many want to come again. Where > Readstown, Wisconsin at the Kickapoo Crossroads Motel & Cabins 609 US Highway 61 Phone # > 608-629-9999 When > October 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th (6th and 9th are just get there and get home days) Rides > Ken will lead Friday the 7th & I will lead Saturday the 8th Rides will be on scenic Wisconsin blacktops and highways. :photographing:There will be stops for pictures and lunch and stuff. Thursday evening I'll make some chili again for those that show early. (And yes Mike I'll make some more breakfast stuff one of the morning too). Camp fire at night to sit and shoot the bull. And we can grill supper over the fire. (From their flier they sent to me) Motel rates > $65 per night "$55 a night for 3 nights or longer" Cabins > 5 Rustic and 2 Camping Cabins Rustic > Big Cabin > $90 for one side $175 for both sides (2 bedrooms) Wildwood > (The one I rented last year and again this year) 3 Bears > $99 a night (Dbl bed down stairs loft with 2 dbl beds) Leona's > $95 a night (Dbl bed down and 1 in loft) Rustic > $65 a night (Dbl bed down with loft) Camping Cabins > Log Camper $45 a night Sleeper $30 a night (Last year the Bank just took the place over and well lets say some of the cabins were not to good. Not sure what to expect this year?) Well I'll leave it here and add or ask and I will try to help best I can! Bryan
