a1bummer Posted March 12, 2011 #1 Posted March 12, 2011 Just trying to think ahead a little. Would you guys and gals who joined us for the last one, and to anybody who would like to join in on all the fun for the next Leaf Looker Run, be interested in doing it on the first weekend of October? Last fall we did it on the second weekend and I kind of thought that we may have missed the peek a bit. Also, I have to work that weekend, If we can do it the first weekend than I only have to take off one day. Either way, I CAN"T WAIT! Apple orchards, VR members, and brats, OH MY! Thanks, Bill

bryan52577 Posted March 12, 2011 #10 Posted March 12, 2011 As for the, (or which) weekend, September 30th to October 2nd or October 7th to the 9th. I am game for either. I am still trying to make sure the Crooked River resort will still be open. (Place we used last year. Cost and location was good I thought.) At this time even they are not sure, it is up to the bank. If they close then I need to find a alternate place to have the "gathering" and then the routes can be made accordingly. I am looking at any and all places that could have us at a "reasonable" cost. Some have the facilities, and capabilities but the cost is just to much $$$. Others are just camping or will not allow alcohol or fires, ect. I found another place by Boscoble, WI but very few cabins and no motel (around the corner like we had). Was also looking just north of La Crosse also. Found a couple there but $$$ again. What would people be willing to spend? I thought over $80 a night was a bit high, but then maybe I am just a tight wad? Guess I am open to suggestions, after all we are "all" in this together? I just want everyone to have a GOOD, SAFE, time and ride! And Ken and I will have the rides for Friday and Saturday planned out. Bill, you are our "OFFICIAL" cook now after the last "Leaf Lookers Ride". So you let me know of any thing you need or would want and I will try to help you out all I can. Bryan

Rick Haywood Posted March 13, 2011 #15 Posted March 13, 2011 As for cost Even $100 bucks a night for the time of year is ok if they have everything we need. Also camp grounds close buy might work for some. I might even want to camp since that time of year it is cool at night.

a1bummer Posted March 15, 2011 Author #25 Posted March 15, 2011 Ok Bryan, I be sure to grab plenty of burgers and brats from the meat market again. Maybe I'll grab some of their brat burger instead to make things a bit easier. Tell Lisa I'll have plenty sauerkraut, and plenty jalapenos for Ken. Mmmm... apple juice slushies! D'OH! Brain freeze! If I was dyslexic that could be Bryan freeze. Oh, wait, I am... Oh I got one. What does a dyslexic zombie say? Bryans! Bryans! What? No applause? Did I mention I also have ADHD? Bill
