dingy Posted March 11, 2011 #1 Posted March 11, 2011 As we Silver Surfers know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers. I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over. Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.' I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.' Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before? 'No,' I replied. 'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.' So I wrote down: ID10T I used to like Eric, the little bastard.
Yammer Dan Posted March 11, 2011 #2 Posted March 11, 2011 I've been shown that one by little girl at work. She hid and wouldn't come around for a while...

donphantasmo Posted March 13, 2011 #6 Posted March 13, 2011 I'm in the Navy right now, and we are constantly playing games on new guys (usually Marines). You know, FNGs. Sometimes we ask them to go to other shops to get left handed screwdrivers, or ten feet of "flight line". The best thing is when we tell them to find some ID-10-T to clean the shop. It's hours of fun to see them go from shop to shop looking for that stuff. HOURS AND HOURS of fun!!!
Rocket Posted March 13, 2011 #7 Posted March 13, 2011 It's hours of fun to see them go from shop to shop looking for that stuff. HOURS AND HOURS of fun!!! I remember a couple of them pulled on one of our transport guys years ago (he was also coast guard auxiliary)..... 50 feet of shoreline (thinking it was rope) a bucket of prop wash See if they fall for these if not sleep deprived, as this guy was at the time, during an FTX......
