kyle Posted March 11, 2011 #1 Posted March 11, 2011 just wondering if anyone else here uses " boats.net" to buy OEM parts ??? I have bought some stuff this winter and thought the price was good and shipping real reasonable. shipping only takes a few days. just curious.
royalstar09 Posted March 11, 2011 #2 Posted March 11, 2011 Yes I have used them. I typically try to use venders from a website where I am a member. Never had a issue with them.
Keemez Posted March 11, 2011 #3 Posted March 11, 2011 I've gone a step further in reducing costs. I'll print the appropriate parts page from boats.net and ask the local Yammi stealer if they'll match the indicated web price, which they so far have honored several times for me. Just a few weeks ago I scored what would ordinarily be an $87 speed sensor from Yam for $64.xx using boats.net's pricing. It's not like Yamaha isn't making any profits the way they price this stuff. At least this little trick brings it from absolutely insane/ludicrous down to stupid. Plus, there's no shipping cost that way.
Freebird Posted March 11, 2011 #4 Posted March 11, 2011 I just ordered from them for the first time. Just a button for the passenger push to talk switch. I've seen several posts here where people have used them and have seen no complaints. After I placed my order for the button, I got an email letting me know that it was not in stock and has been ordered. That's fine this time because it's not that I am in a big hurry for it. I do prefer sites that show the availability of an item BEFORE I place my order though.
ragtop69gs Posted March 11, 2011 #5 Posted March 11, 2011 I have bought from them several times. Good dealer. Take a look at the forums, very helpful group of people on there.
flb_78 Posted March 11, 2011 #7 Posted March 11, 2011 I just ordered fork seals and bushings for my 99 Venture. I priced it with shipping from Stadium Yamaha, Boats.net, and Zanotti Harley. Zanotti Harley was the least expensive total price.
