Mikealiasmike Posted November 19, 2007 #1 Posted November 19, 2007 I picked up a bunch and I mean a BUNCH of NOS auto parts, mostly Chevy from an auctioneer who had them sitting in his warehouse for over 2 years. My problem is some of the starters, alternators and other parts aren't listed in ACDelco's web site anymore. My question is does anybody have a reference book listing the parts to number? Or could check some parts I have with a different means? Hate to let a starter worth 150.00 go for scrap prices because I don't know what it's worth. Any help will be appreciated and I will see if Santa couldn't find something in his bag for ya. Thanks, God Bless. Mike

lonestarmedic Posted November 19, 2007 #6 Posted November 19, 2007 Worked for a dealer and an A/C Delco distributor for years. I have some ancient delco cross-reference guides. I even have Prestolite and Wico magneto books!! Send the numbers and I will see if there are any hits. J. B.
Mikealiasmike Posted November 20, 2007 Author #7 Posted November 20, 2007 Lonestar, I sent out about 2 dozen to Skid already. Will have more in the next few days. If you don't mind so I don't boggle down skid with too much I might just send some your way too. Perhaps if one can't locate it and see what each item goes to the other just might. I truely appreciate the help. God Bless. Mike
Dano Posted November 20, 2007 #8 Posted November 20, 2007 If they're older parts, mid 60's up, and you find that you have some 65-69 Corvair parts in there, I'd definately be interested, have a 65 that's going under the knife soon! (D**n Ralph Nader!) Dan
Mikealiasmike Posted November 20, 2007 Author #9 Posted November 20, 2007 Don't know if I'll find any parts this week for it but if I come across any I'll let ya know.
lonestarmedic Posted November 22, 2007 #10 Posted November 22, 2007 No problem, I knew I kept all that stuff for a reason. I even kept my old Corvette parts books. 1953-1992 or 3. Always figured that the stuff might come in handy. I have a great deal of electrical cross reference. Go figure, I managed the parts room for a major rebuilder and electrical distributor. J.B.
