shikano53 Posted March 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2011 Hi folks, I live in Red Deer, Alberta and need to put a new battery in my 2004 RSV. I see most folks go with the Deka AGM battery. Anyone have any idea where I can purchase one in Alberta? Thank you in advance Chris in Red Deer, Alberta

Guest Posted March 6, 2011 Share #3 Posted March 6, 2011 Hey Chris I can't help you with the battery but I did come across this chart that may be of some use for somebody. Keith And to go one step farther with that chart you can purchase an Argus Battery Bug gauge that will tell you your volts as well as the % of battery life left. Or you can talk your local dealer, to possibly carry their line, on an order as requested basis (that is what I did here). http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/Alberta/Edmonton/East-Penn-Canada/6291452.html?what=east+penn&where=Edmonton+AB&le=1f03580134%7C14d34

AlbertaClipper Posted March 7, 2011 Share #6 Posted March 7, 2011 Have you checked out the Odyssey battery? Available at Battery Direct for just over $100. http://www.odysseyfactory.com/index.html Mike
bongobobny Posted March 7, 2011 Share #7 Posted March 7, 2011 The Odessey battery is an excellent battery, however some members will tell you the DEKA is just a tad better spec wise. My Jury is still out on this, I have an Odessey in the 1st gen and a DEKA in the 2nd gen. The Odessey claims it could last 10 years, all I know is after 2 1/2 years of not being touched, my Odessey still had almost 12v and just barely cranked my 1st gen. A couple of hrs on the battrery charger and it is like new again!!
Rocket Posted March 7, 2011 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2011 Chris, See www.bigcrank.com http://www.bigcrank.com they UPS right to my Door for a very good price. Good Luck But then, there are the cross border fees from the courier used. This is in addition to the purchase & shipping already paid. East Penn (per my previous post) is about an hour away from him, in Edmonton.
