Important Announcement from Two Wheels Only...

The message below was in my email this morning. This is terribly sad, as T.W.O. has always been the go-to place whenever riding in the North GA mountains. Incredibly congenial hosts, surprisingly good food, a wonderful place to sit and relax, and a great place to camp-over have always made this a great place to visit.

We Regret to inform you that Two Wheels Only will cease operation on March 15th 2011. We'd like to thank all of you who supported this establishment and the local community for the last 29 years. It's been a fun ride!

 

Unfortunately the inheritors of the property that Two Wheels Only sits on would not renew the ground lease, do a month to month rent until they sold their property, or sell us the separate parcel of land that the resort is on.

 

We'll keep you updated on what's happening.

Now that is definately unfortunate, Getting harder and harder to find campgrounds that will accomodate bikers.

This is sad news, hubby and I had planned on stopping there later this year since they were so close to his parents' place we could camp out and enjoy the Blairsville area no problem.

For you, the good news is that there is plenty of camping nearby, at Vogel State Park,

and in several areas of the Chattahoochie National Forest.

True, Vogel is always pretty we just figured when his parents learn he's on a bike we'll be in the doghouse again lol...so we'll need a place to stay if that happens next visit lol
