Freeman50 Posted February 24, 2011 #1 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) on cylinder 1&2 they just get warm also the exhaust just gets warm not hot like 3&4 cylinder i have gas and spark to all cylinders compression pressure on all 4 cylinders is 165 psi is this right or should all 4 cylinder get hot on 1&2 cylinder i can touch the motor and exhaust right off cylinders just warm ever after a 30min run time does not get hot like 3&4 Edited February 25, 2011 by Rickone try to make it more clear
bongobobny Posted February 24, 2011 #2 Posted February 24, 2011 Hmmmm, you would think so but if it is running strong and accelerating like the wind then I guess it's normal then. Maybe the rear cylinders are overheating like the cooling system needs flushing. Are you feeling the motor or the exhaust pipes??
Bob Myers Posted March 5, 2011 #3 Posted March 5, 2011 Yes all 4 cyl should be same (close)temp. If you have only suddenly noticed this there is a good chance the pilot jets on the offending(cold) cyls have been plugged from bad gas/varnish. Try synching the carbs first, if they won't synch properly then all 4 need be cleaned/rebuilt
