Gray Ghost Posted March 6, 2011 #29 Posted March 6, 2011 Now you went an done it! WHOOP...I know a thousand aggie jokes.... Years ago I heard that there had been a scientific study on the topic of Aggie jokes. According to that research there is no way you could know a thousand Aggie jokes. You see according to the study there is only ONE actual Aggie joke - the rest are all true stories.

Tom Posted March 8, 2011 #34 Posted March 8, 2011 For those coming to Blanco to meet 1Joeranger the weather is OK here cloudy but sun is out..No drizzle or fog.Now there is a small patch of rain aroung Giddings Tx but looks to be moving on.Looks like GaryN will be in Blanco either at my house or DQ in Blanco around noon. This I guess we will call "The official, but not announced, meet and eat for 1Joeranger that just happened to come together meet and eat" That is the way these things happen sometimes! Good on all you guys! Tom
zooer Posted March 8, 2011 #35 Posted March 8, 2011 Oh wow, did I cause that, a M&E?! That would be way to cool! I think my daughter would get a real kick meeting some of you, Texas style!! You guys know you are dealing with an Aggie?! Careful now our host, Freebird, is an Aggie. I would hate for someone to get pitched off this fantastic website just because they had the bad grace to slur an Aggie!!! Did someone say something about putting the sheep in the barn?
Tom Posted March 8, 2011 #36 Posted March 8, 2011 Hey Im not hard on AGGIES..they really have done significant studies that are very educational..Like the Frog Study.... An aggie took a frog for a project to disect and put him on the table looked at him and said, "JUMP FROG! the frog jumped 6 feet...He cut off 1 leg and looked at him and said "JUMP FROG...he jumped 4 feet...HUMMM he said ,he cut off another leg and looked and said JUMP FROG...he limped about 2 feet..He did the same with one of the 2 remaining legs and said JUMP FROG...he moved about 6 inches..He thought on it and cut one more off,the final leg. He said JUMP FROG....nothing happened..he thought on it awhile and said JUMP FROG..... Nothing at all happened.....He smiled big and said I have it figured out, frogs with no legs are DEAF!!!! WHAT A STUDY!
Tom Posted March 8, 2011 #37 Posted March 8, 2011 Well we had a great turnout for an unofficial M&E..Had a snack at the DQ then went on a short ride thru LBJ Ranch (Free admission to his Ranch ( Lyndon Baines Johnson) all in all a nice day...BUT No 1joeranger...he was a little late and missed his meet and eat! BTW He called me at 330PM and is safe and in Blanco!
ashley9187 Posted March 9, 2011 #38 Posted March 9, 2011 On the way back from LBJ ranch as I was approaching the DQ I noticed a RSTD/w trailer so I did a quick U'ee and pulled in and sure nuff twas rangerjoe. Ponch Posted March 9, 2011 #42 Posted March 9, 2011 I forgot to thank Tom and Debby for coordinating this impromptu M&E. Tom & Debby, myself & LilBit, GaryN & Mary, Rick Ashley, Wes (Tom's buddy) and Art (Aharbi) were in attendance.
aharbi Posted March 9, 2011 #43 Posted March 9, 2011 It was great seeing everyone. I left a little late but arrived with the group still outside tire-kicking. Following are some of the pictures I took. Most have been cropped and where taken while riding. Tom suggested the LBJ Ranch just a piece up the road. We followed Tom & Deb out of the parking lot.. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/ME030811Blanco/P3084149r.jpg and up HW281 http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/ME030811Blanco/P3084160r.jpg and the side-car rig followed me... http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/ME030811Blanco/P3084164r.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/ME030811Blanco/P3084158r.jpg Tom checked us in and the tour of the LBJ Park/Ranch grounds began. 1joeranger Posted March 14, 2011 Author #45 Posted March 14, 2011 Hate it I missed my own shin dig, but it sounds like everyone had a good time! Phone got wet on the second day and it was pretty much out from then on. Also limited to no internet service, felt like I was in the stone age there in the hill country. But I so enjoyed visiting with my mom! Also managed to see both my brothers one is the Chief Probation Officer for 3 counties in that area. The other was High School Teacher of this past year for San Antonio. Needless to say they got all the talent, all I got was the looks and charm. The best part of the trip was my daughter though. It was her first long trip mc ride and to put it bluntly: "She does not suffer well!". That being said she keep the complaining to a minimum even though we had a whole day of rain, a day of cold, cold, weather, early morning cold each day, a 500 mile plus day of riding, and a continually sore rump! I am not sure if she will ever ride with me again but she went out of her way to make me feel special and I feel very blessed for it. Anyhow, a special thanks to Rickey "asley9187" for stopping back by DQ in Blanco to make me feel welcome! Hopefully I will see you all at Freebirds this year!!
Ponch Posted March 14, 2011 #46 Posted March 14, 2011 Ray, Sorry we missed you guys. I hope your daughter takes the experience and rides again some day.
