Freebird Posted November 17, 2007 #1 Posted November 17, 2007 Got home around midnight last night. Good to be home again. I tell you, I still travel a lot but I don't fly that much and am REALLY happy about that. The airports are just WAY to busy now days.
Yama Mama Posted November 17, 2007 #2 Posted November 17, 2007 Welcome Back Don, We all missed having you around! Peggy:bighug:
Lone Eagle Posted November 17, 2007 #3 Posted November 17, 2007 BACK HOME, DON. Airports ain't no fun - and this is the wrong time of year to have to get on one for business. Now, you got some reading around here to catch up on - lot's has happened, ya know :rotf:
Freebird Posted November 17, 2007 Author #4 Posted November 17, 2007 I managed to keep up with most of the posts until early yesterday morning. Didn't have time to reply to many but at least read most of them. Sales meeting was OK as far as sales meetings go. Food is always good at our meetings. Had a great porterhouse at a place in Hayward, WI called Tally Hos. Very good food. We usually have our Thursday night dinner there. Most other meals are at our company resort but are also good. On Wednesday evening, we had roast pheasant and grouse. Excellent. Otherwise, typical sales meeting. Sit there and hear the same things we hear every other year. It's always good to see my co-workers though. About twice a year is the only time I see any of them so it's always good to catch up on things. We also have our yearly employee evaluations, pay discussions, etc. during the fall meeting so I know that I have a job for another year. Next meeting is in April in Orlando, FL. We have our spring meeting in Orlando every other year as it coincides with the big sign show convention that alternates between Orlando and Vegas every other year.
MikesBike Posted November 17, 2007 #5 Posted November 17, 2007 Does your company make signs or produce the equipment to make signs? The company I work for has a division that builds sign making machines... Mike
Freebird Posted November 17, 2007 Author #6 Posted November 17, 2007 Actually, we do neither of those. We make dimensional letters and plaques. We are a wholesaler selling only to sign companies. Providing dimensional letters, cast, waterjet cut metals, injection molded, vacuum formed, laser cut acrylic, etc. Also cast aluminum and bronze plaques and acid etched plaques.
Yammer Dan Posted November 17, 2007 #7 Posted November 17, 2007 My convicts make road signs along with license plates.
sarges46 Posted November 17, 2007 #8 Posted November 17, 2007 watched a show called "how its made" or how do they do that and saw that stuff being made. It pretty cool.
BradT Posted November 17, 2007 #9 Posted November 17, 2007 The airports are just WAY to busy now days. Try Flying to Canada and then home again. What a Pain, Can barely bring anything with you now. Brad
