I want to give everyone a heads up.

First of all, "if its to good to be true, it probably is." :no-no-no:

Someday I'll learn. :(

My wife and I have been looking for a set of blue scorpion EXO-400 helmets.

I found them at Extreme Supply for $90.00, regularly 129.00 to 139.00 depending.

:big-grin-emoticon:

Yea, right...

Ordered them Saturday evening.

entered all the appropriate personnel info, plus of course credit card info.

Got a Thanks for the order, along with confirmation number.

Happy me.:big-grin-emoticon:

Monday evening I recived a we are sorry, but we just sold out email. That would have been OK, however they tried to up sell me to a more expensive helmet, even that would have been OK,

but,:bang head:

I just check this evening (5 days latter) and they are still posting the same deal. This would indicate to me that they are trying to get others to buy something, that they don't have, so they can try to sell them something more expensive.

I realize I'm whinning, but, we need to treat Web merchants just like local merchants, if they don't live up to their advertisements, we need to let everyone know, WE ARE MAD AS HECK!, AND WE AIN'T GOING TO TAKE IT, WITH OUT LETING EVERYONE KNOW.

Did they offer you the upgrade at the same price as you had paid for the original? THATS the way its suppose to be done.. Not ripping people off.

Reporting fraud aint whining brother,,, thats helping out your fellow man!! THANK YOU!

Just reading your thread makes me mad too.. Perhaps give this a while to brew and folks a chance to respond and then a copy/paste email to the company will let them know that we aint buying the scam..

Personally, I take stuff like this seriously and wont be one of their customers as a result..

Surely there is a consumers affairs advocate within your State authority who will jump on this rogue trader for you.

That's totally illegal down my way, offenders cop HEAVY fines - and sometimes de-registration of their businesses.

They are located in California. Scroll to the bottom of their web page. It give their address. Please report to the Ca. AG's office and to your credit card company. Between the two of them they will bust 'em. No one else except those who tried to make a purchase can file a complaint.

DO IT!
