navydavy Posted February 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2011 Had a great day today. Beautiful weather, and took my 17 year-old son on his first ride along with my two brothers. He took the MSF course 2 weekends ago and passed with flying colors, and then got his M endorsement from the DMV on Thursday. We started off with meeting some fellow riders from our church at a Starbucks in Seal Beach, and then the 4 of us headed south on Pacific Coast Highway about 25 miles or so to Laguna Beach. Cut over to the freeway for a stop at an accessories shop before heading home. Matthew did a great job and I am really proud of him. He was on the 1988 Honda NX 250 I picked up about 3 weeks ago. Great little bike for a starter and beyond. We're planning a ride further up the coast next weekend for an overnight camping trip.
Venturous Randy Posted February 13, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 13, 2011 That is one of those good days you will always remember. I hope there will be many, many more of them for you and him. RandyA
mini-muffin Posted February 13, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2011 Pretty cool, can't see it in the pic but I bet he's smiling. Looks pretty proud to be standing there too. Hope you have great weather for your next trip. Margaret

navydavy Posted February 13, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted February 13, 2011 He's already talked about bigger, and that is fine with me when the time is right. I plan on keeping the 250 for myself anyhow. That little bike is so much fun.
