Had a signal dynamics back off brake light flasher install since last august, now it won't flash, wired to the led bar, removed it wired it into the stock brake light, no flash, wired it into both, no flash, took it up to the "factory" here in FL, 10 miles away, they were VERY helpful, talked to the owner/engineer, he tested it and gave it back, rewired it including a resistor he provided, no flash, took it back, they tested it on several heavy and light load light, worked perfectly, gave it back, "incompatable maybe" he said...can't seem to make it work on my bike, he did give me a 10 cent tour of their place, very cool, he said that could build all their products over seas but they don't to keep jobs over here, if you are looking for cool products, check them out, "signal dynamics"....any ideas what to do now?

I had the EXACT same problem with mine. Never could figure out what was wrong with it, so I ended up taking it off. They're not legal in PA anyway. I decided to add a second RIVCO rear running brake light instead. Good luck, Don.

Just get the bulb to do it and save yourself the re-wiring. :bang head: :think: Works great on mine, flashes fast when brake is applied then slows to a steady on in 3 or 4 seconds. Gets their attention anyway. :thumbsup2:

I read an artical with a tiny warning foot note (*) that they "may" not work with certain leds. Are designed to operate with standard bulbs, but take into consideration I seen that when I was researching back off modules. I have NO personal experience with them.

The first thing to do is to connect the lights directly to the battery neg to neg th brake light lead to the pos + of the battery the light should work as designed do the same for the marker light lead both the marker and the use the same neg - connection.

if both lights work connected directly to the battery then they will work on you brake lights no natter the load you have with other lights. if they don't work when connected to the brake light wire then you have a bad ground (neg) or return to the battery. Electricity will seek a secondary path if the primary is open check your ground connections.

PM me with a phone number and I will see if I can help you in more detail.

A real head scratcher..not sure of what could possibly be "incompatable"...the lights work normally without the unit installed and the modulator worked on regular lights and leds at the factory....not in my garage no matter how it was wired...not rocket surgery to install...and originally it worked for 5 months on the LED bar...HUH?....

I think I got it...there is a brake light relay somewhere according to the wiring diagram....must be the reason the modulator/flasher won't work???
