Bobby G Posted February 7, 2011 #1 Posted February 7, 2011 This stuff is really amazing and easy to use, but man does it stink until it dries! Strongly advise to mix and use it in a very well ventilated area. http://www.plast-aid.com/video/Introducing_PlastAid_BB.mov
dynodon Posted February 7, 2011 #2 Posted February 7, 2011 At first I thought it was going to be a copy of Plasti-Fix. I used that product to fix the trunk on my '86 VR that was almost in THREE parts (Base, bottom surround, and lid!) An hours work each of two days fixed the part and it is holding well. Plast-aid seems similar, but doesn't set up quite as quick, and adding color to it is also nice. With Plasti-fix, it comes in black and white I think, an d for my black trunk, I just used the black option, and since the cracks were not easily visible from outside, I didn't even worry about sanding or painting.
Steel Horse Cowboy Posted February 7, 2011 #3 Posted February 7, 2011 I'm not throwing off on either above mentioned products, just adding one more. I use plastex and it is the simplest and easiest product I've used. Its great for fixing or rebuilding broken tabs, repairing stripped out threads in plastic and great for fixing broken plastic parts. Give it a look see..... www.plastex.net C.R.
