KeithR Posted February 6, 2011 #4 Posted February 6, 2011 It would be bad enough hiking it but how did they build it...they must of had wings! Keith
TDunc Posted February 6, 2011 #5 Posted February 6, 2011 Love my hiking but HECK no I won't go.. Great video. Yeah, the builders seem to have no fear. I don't think I could have done that. The videographer appeared NOT to use the steel safty cable that others were using.
painterman67 Posted February 6, 2011 #6 Posted February 6, 2011 the wife and I were talking baout it. As long as I can and shecan use the steel cable it looks like fun . But with her being a shutter bug it would take us three days to get through it. Thanks for the video DAvid
Yammer Dan Posted February 6, 2011 #7 Posted February 6, 2011 I was a Telephone lineman for yrs and running up and down those poles didn't bother me a bit. But I got a bad leg now ya know:whistling::whistling:
midnightventure Posted February 7, 2011 #8 Posted February 7, 2011 I used to be a cable lineman and have climbed 500' towers but there is something about watching videos like that that get to my stomach. Or maybe it's because I'm in my 50s now instead of my 20s.
TDunc Posted February 7, 2011 #9 Posted February 7, 2011 ...have climbed 500' towers but there is something about watching videos like that that get to my stomach... I never climbed that high but did used to climb 100'. I now only have a 48' and my knees start shaking at that these days. Has something to do with physics ... (bounce versus splat!!) And age.
SilvrT Posted February 7, 2011 #10 Posted February 7, 2011 I never climbed that high but did used to climb 100'. I now only have a 48' and my knees start shaking at that these days.
