ashley9187 Posted February 6, 2011 #1 Posted February 6, 2011 I think I have found the perfect custom leather work for my motorcycle. Aces High Leather has completed my first job and it is posted on her website at http://www.acehighleathers.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=56 My bike is the bottom mud flap and I am going to have her do one for my Roadstar also. another picture is also located at http://www.acehighleathers.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&Itemid=54 She is great and the turn around time was less than a week. Can't beat that with a STICK. I am going to use her for all my leather work. Rick A A Man of Few Words.
1joeranger Posted February 6, 2011 #2 Posted February 6, 2011 Nice! Did you send her a picture of what you wanted and what was the price tag, if you don't mind?
Squidley Posted February 6, 2011 #3 Posted February 6, 2011 That tan MM bib looks great, is she local to you in San Antonio Rick?
Sling Posted February 6, 2011 #4 Posted February 6, 2011 The mud flap looks great, but was it measured with you and your passenger sitting on the bike? I made a mud flap out of rubber for when I pull the trailer. Found after a trip with the trailer it was smaller from dragging. I only mention this because that is a good looking flip and it might get ruined.
Rick Haywood Posted February 6, 2011 #5 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Just got off the phone with Nanci at Ace leather and ordered a bib for my MM edition Venture. Very helpful walking me through the process and making suggestions to improve the looks of the bib. And some of the suggestions weren't about money because they were free. Very nice lady to deal with and her and her husband Ken are both riders. Edited February 6, 2011 by Rick Haywood

Luvdaleather Posted February 6, 2011 #8 Posted February 6, 2011 Yep you're right Mike, the bike has since moved to Salt Lake City Utah and is still on the road with many more miles on it. Bob, the guy who bought it took on my website as a hobby, 6 years later, we're still friends and he still has the bike! The diamond cut is unlike anything I've ever seen and Mike's work was impeccable! Many thanks to you guys out there for giving my business a boost! I appreciate all of your kind words, friendship and needless to say it's a blast designing exactly what you want for your bikes. By the way Mike, I still owe you on that diamond cut shoot me an email and we'll talk. Regards, Nanci Ace High Leathers.

I have had a bunch of eye trouble after all the surgeries finally fixed the left eye and it is now back to about 20/40 but woke up 2 weeks ago and couldn't see out of the right eye. Had the first of 2 surgeries on the 25th and the 2nd one will be on 2-21 and I should have back my eye sight in both eyes. I have been dealing with this since June as you know and will be glad when it is over and I can get back to a normal life. Only a couple of months till riding season.

Luvdaleather Posted February 7, 2011 #12 Posted February 7, 2011 Hey sling, I read your post on the mud flap and I can say "nope" its not too long. That's a great observation though and one that I should take into consideration when they are ordered. That template was designed by a guy who generally rides two up on his RSV and pulls a trailer. No complaints from him to date and if you would want the flap a bit shorter, its certainly not a problem. Ride Safe, Nanci http://www.acehighleathers.com
