Freebird Posted February 4, 2011 #1 Posted February 4, 2011 I have temporarily disabled all signatures at the bottom of our posts. This is an effort to determine whether or not all the weather banners and other external links in signatures are causing any problems with server speed. The signatures have not been deleted and when I enable them again, they will be as you had them.
Flyinfool Posted February 4, 2011 #2 Posted February 4, 2011 If you are able to determine that certain things in the sigs are slowing down the works, just let us know and I'll be happy to remove the "stuff" from my sig. My connection is so slow for everything that I never notice this or any site being slow. Even though we have a T1 line it still has to squeeze 50 computers thru a 10 meg hub for the whole company. Our T1 line ends up close to dial-up speed.

BOO Posted February 5, 2011 #19 Posted February 5, 2011 I've kind of been watching the threads about the speed of the site. Can't say that it appears to be any slower or faster one way or the other. Every once in a while when I am downloading a thread it seems to hang a little but that's been going on forever. There are a lot of forums that have a way lot more going on then this site and they seem to be fine. It will be riding weather soon fellas and everything will be fine. BOO
