2nd Gen saddlebag hinge stickers

Does anyone know why all UK ventures are sold withont the neat hinge sticker so well photographed on the fronmt of the Clymer manual? I know you can order them for a silly price via Yamaha, just wondered if anyone has run there own up.

I had a large Union Jack sticker floating about in my garage and so I used the old aluminium looking originals as templates and made two red, white and blue stickers, one for each side. Next time I go into the garage I'll take a photograph. Basically its just an old sticker cut up in place of the originals.

On a 2nd Gen saddle bag, there is a sticker that covers the top half of the hinge. Mine says "Tour Deluxe", other models have different badging.

I'm also interested in finding these decals as I am considering the purchase of an '08 venture that is missing these decals. Can you purchase the from yamaha? Price?

Mine were just blank aluminium stickers that had crazed lacquer and looked a mess.

 

It was raining that day.
