Rick Haywood Posted January 31, 2011 #26 Posted January 31, 2011 If you had to do something in your life all over again, would you? Yes
1 Canuck Posted January 31, 2011 #27 Posted January 31, 2011 Yes. I would like to have been more patient and kinder in my younger days; and bought Micro-Soft stocks when I had the opportunity. I guess hind sight is 20/20.
LilBeaver Posted January 31, 2011 #28 Posted January 31, 2011 ... If there is one thing I have learned in life it is that the more education you have the less you have to work and the more money you can make. ... Glad this is working for you but in my field it sure isn't this way. The more I learn the harder and more I have to work and it sure as heck is not reflected in my paycheck. But I love what I do, so I have no real complaints about it.
SilvrT Posted February 1, 2011 #29 Posted February 1, 2011 i guess that i would have planned for retirement more..( who would have known that i would actually get here and that it would get here so soon?? ditto that !
aharbi Posted February 1, 2011 #31 Posted February 1, 2011 Yes, I would never of smoked. Even though I quite 6 years ago.
SilvrT Posted February 1, 2011 #32 Posted February 1, 2011 Glad this is working for you but in my field it sure isn't this way. Venturous Randy Posted February 1, 2011 #33 Posted February 1, 2011 Like my dad used to say, "If I had known I would live this long, I would have taken better care of myself". Actually, there is a lot about my life that I am enjoying, but I do have to say that this year and a divorce after 41 years make me think it was something I should have done a long time ago. There are several cars I wish I had kept and there were several others I wish I had bought. RandyA
Redneck Posted February 1, 2011 #35 Posted February 1, 2011 A good friend of mine was telling me last week he wishes he would have taken that job he could have had right after school. He told me several things he wished he had done. I told him then I am happy with the choices I have made.
Aussie Annie Posted February 1, 2011 #36 Posted February 1, 2011 Lifes experiences makes us who we are only thing I would change is: ride in a different direction on 9th December, 2007........then legs would be okay, and family wouldn't go through the upset and trauma.
LilBeaver Posted February 1, 2011 #37 Posted February 1, 2011 but Rick, you're still young and climbing the proverbial ladder .... by the time you get to 50 you'll be eons ahead of a lot of us... probably be retired! lol I don't know about that but I guess we'll see...
mhaigwood Posted February 1, 2011 #38 Posted February 1, 2011 The good and bad in my life made me the man that I have become. I am proud of the person I became. God bless Mark
mhaigwood Posted February 1, 2011 #39 Posted February 1, 2011 The last post was too serius (spelling ?). I would have not stop riding for 20 years!!!!!
saddlebum Posted February 1, 2011 #40 Posted February 1, 2011 If I could do my life over I would have studied to become a veterinarian instead of a mechanic and I would have been more socially active during my high school and teen years. For the rest I would not change anything
slick97spirit Posted February 1, 2011 #41 Posted February 1, 2011 I would have drained the oil & gas out of the 69 Grand Prix and put it up on blocks until the kids grew up and moved out. Also wish I had joined the Marines. That's my biggest regret.
friesman Posted February 1, 2011 #42 Posted February 1, 2011 Yes, I definitely wouldn't have married my first wife. Other than that I wouldn't change anything else! Ditto on that............wwwelllll maybe not marry the second either:Avatars_Gee_George: .........well..............and then theres the other stuff too................. Brian:rotfl:
etcswjoe Posted February 1, 2011 #43 Posted February 1, 2011 There are lots of things I would like to change, however any action has a reaction and since I am good with most of the things I did I don't think I would wish for those I did not to change the outcome from the things I did like....... Confused? I know I am....
