1BigDog Posted January 31, 2011 #1 Posted January 31, 2011 If you had to do something in your life all over again, would you?
BOO Posted January 31, 2011 #2 Posted January 31, 2011 If you had to do something in your life all over again, would you? I presume you are talking about doing something "different" than the way you did it the first time........ NO! BOO
jrcain32 Posted January 31, 2011 #3 Posted January 31, 2011 If I could do it knowing what I know now, there is a couple of things I would like to try again.
Art708 Posted January 31, 2011 #4 Posted January 31, 2011 There are several things that I'd NOT do and a few that I Would do that I didn't before.
RandyR Posted January 31, 2011 #5 Posted January 31, 2011 If I had to do it over again, I might make worse mistakes than I made the first time thru... So, we'll just leave it alone. No time machines for me.
SilvrT Posted January 31, 2011 #6 Posted January 31, 2011 If you had to do something in your life all over again, would you? yes, but my Cialis prescription has run out....
skydoc_17 Posted January 31, 2011 #7 Posted January 31, 2011 Hey T, YOU Sir, NEED to go for a ride bad, Brother! (but that was a great answer!) Earl
Brake Pad Posted January 31, 2011 #8 Posted January 31, 2011 I would have waiting to get married, I was too young, and she was a dump blonde. 23 later, shes still a dump blonde, and I'm living happy:rotf:
SilvrT Posted January 31, 2011 #9 Posted January 31, 2011 I would have waiting to get married, I was too young, and she was a dump blonde. 23 later, shes still a dump blonde, and I'm living happy:rotf: so you're still married to her...or not?
Snaggletooth Posted January 31, 2011 #10 Posted January 31, 2011 Let me think for a minute........let's see........where to start? Oh! YES!!
Freebird Posted January 31, 2011 #11 Posted January 31, 2011 This is a tough question. I guess there are many things that I would do differently. Most importantly, I would try to be a kinder person, more patient, choose my words more carefully, choose some relationships more carefully....so many things I know now could have been handled better. Since I can't change the past however, I won't dwell on it and just work on being a better person today and in the future.
Squidley Posted January 31, 2011 #12 Posted January 31, 2011 This is a tough question. I guess there are many things that I would do differently. Since I can't change the past however, I won't dwell on it and just work on being a better person today and in the future. I like Tweeties answer, I have wished a few times of being able to go back. I would have stuck it out in the service and retired in 2007, but then I might have been kiled on active duty I look at where I'm at, and the people I know here and who I'm married to, and it probably wouldn't be this way. In that respect I wouldn't change it, my life isn't perfect, but I have good people surrounding me...so I suppose I'm actually very happy
Brake Pad Posted January 31, 2011 #13 Posted January 31, 2011 so you're still married to her...or not? No, sawing my oaks with someone else:cool10:
SilvrT Posted January 31, 2011 #14 Posted January 31, 2011 To give an "real" answer, I wouldn't do a thing differently. The person I am today is a result of my past and, although some might disagree (cough, cough), ... I figgure I turned out pretty good! (let the jabbing begin...)
Naked Rider Posted January 31, 2011 #15 Posted January 31, 2011 i think i would have paid a little more attention in school than what i did
Kregerdoodle Posted January 31, 2011 #17 Posted January 31, 2011 I often think ( man if only I would have done that or not have screwed that up) but as it is, those are all exp. that have made me who I am, some bad and some good... but I try and use the bad times as a reminder to always try and do better. That and if I did it all over, I may not have the friends and Family that I have in my life now, and I hold them all close to my heart.
PBJ Posted January 31, 2011 #18 Posted January 31, 2011 Yes, I definitely wouldn't have married my first wife. Other than that I wouldn't change anything else!
LilBeaver Posted January 31, 2011 #19 Posted January 31, 2011 2 weeks ago I would have moved my foot a little quicker before that 600lb magnet came crashing down.
SilvrT Posted January 31, 2011 #20 Posted January 31, 2011 2 weeks ago I would have moved my foot a little quicker before that 600lb magnet came crashing down. but just think ... you wouldn't be using the heel shifter today
bluemax Posted January 31, 2011 #21 Posted January 31, 2011 If I had to do it over again, I don't think I would have sold the Harley and bought a Gold Wing. PS (Off topic) That smiley face with the hair, sunglasses, and dances is obnoxious. This one: :dancefool:
Freebird Posted January 31, 2011 #22 Posted January 31, 2011 HEY...that's a self portrait. I'm CRUSHED.
ctraylor Posted January 31, 2011 #23 Posted January 31, 2011 I would have went to college right after high school instead of getting married. I waited until I was 35 until I went to college and now at 50 I finally have my dream job. If there is one thing I have learned in life it is that the more education you have the less you have to work and the more money you can make.
SilvrT Posted January 31, 2011 #24 Posted January 31, 2011 If there is one thing I have learned in life it is that the more education you have the less you have to work and the more money you can make. There's a certain amount of truth to that; however, most folks equate that kind of education with schooling such as University or College, etc. Personally, I am self-taught in the IT field and although it took me almost 20 years of hands-on learning, I now have a job where I basically sit at a computer all day and chat in there here forum and get paid for it ...
Grandpagak Posted January 31, 2011 #25 Posted January 31, 2011 i guess that i would have planned for retirement more..( who would have known that I :bang head::bang head: would actually get here and that it would get here so soon??
