mini-muffin Posted January 30, 2011 #8 Posted January 30, 2011 Tell Brad not to damage the kid. First off you don't wound them you make them work around the house. Yard work, clean the gutters, cut the grass, you know the usual. Jeff learned that eventually. Margaret
saddlebum Posted January 30, 2011 #9 Posted January 30, 2011 When my daughter introduced me to her first boy friend I simply said how do you do OH yeh I think I also said -------and yes I do own a shot gun
Aussie Annie Posted January 30, 2011 #10 Posted January 30, 2011 Makes me think of the saying: "Don't let the door hit ya on the way out" :rotf::rotf:

Dano Posted January 30, 2011 #16 Posted January 30, 2011 I'll have to write that one down. :rotfl: I always used to shake their hand, look at my daughter and ask: should I kick his a** now or later? Never had a problem!
KarlS Posted January 30, 2011 #18 Posted January 30, 2011 With my ex-step daughter I just shook the young mans hand, looked him in the eye and told him. what ever you do to Her I will do to you, and smiled real big. Had no problems. He did have a strange look on his face though.
1joeranger Posted January 30, 2011 #19 Posted January 30, 2011 I have been telling both my daughters I am ready for grand kids! One mentioned that they were not even married yet?! Who said anything about marriage? I have no interest in a son in law! I just want grand kids!! What the hell am I gonna do with a son in law?? My girlfriend cuts the grass, cleans the house, and is a fantastic cook. All I have to do is maintain my bike. So again, what the hell do I need with a son in law??

etcswjoe Posted January 30, 2011 #23 Posted January 30, 2011 My daughter told her first boyfriend I was in the military, mean and shot people for a living. Who was I to correct her?
Trader Posted January 30, 2011 #24 Posted January 30, 2011 A co-worker told me he just "stared" at the guys crotch and asked him if he wanted to keep them. mind you....the dad was a body builder and his nose was all over his face from previous "encounters" He said he never had any problems with his daughter's boyfriends!
mother Posted January 30, 2011 #25 Posted January 30, 2011 you should put velcro on the garage door and get the boyfriend to wear a wool sweater. hey Brooke, where did the new boyfriend go? when my daughters came home with a new boyfriend i would hand the new young fellow a t-shirt with a target on the front and on the back. i am 6 ft 4 and 280 lbs. no questions were asked.
