mini-muffin Posted February 10, 2011 #126 Posted February 10, 2011 Dang it must just be me and you Dan. Oh I got a part time job now, so you'll all have to do without me at times during the day. I know it'll be a hardship. :whistling:Try to hold up without me.:crackup::crackup: Margaret
Brake Pad Posted February 10, 2011 #127 Posted February 10, 2011 don't feel bad, I'm going from a part time jobs to two full time jobs starting this week, my company and an armed guard post nights. I'm starting my save for the July trip.:mo money:
mini-muffin Posted February 10, 2011 #128 Posted February 10, 2011 Sounds like a good reason to work your butt off for a bit. Hope it's a great trip this summer. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 10, 2011 #129 Posted February 10, 2011 Work?? I seem to remember that. Its Snowing and I ain't gotta go nowhere!!
mini-muffin Posted February 10, 2011 #130 Posted February 10, 2011 It's snowing here too, but it's not much. The weather folks are saying 2 - 5" here, but I don't see that. The snow isn't sticking in the road or the grass much either. I should be able to get out of here easy. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 10, 2011 #131 Posted February 10, 2011 That new Ford should be OK. Just remember they dont stop any better than 2-wheel drive just get you going fast enough to get in trouble. Kinda like a 1st Gen.
mini-muffin Posted February 10, 2011 #132 Posted February 10, 2011 Well just as I was ready to leave it came down pretty heavy. So now that it's letting up I'll head out. I know about driving with just 2wd anyway, this is my first 4wd. Thanks I'll be careful Dan. Ain't he sweet? Margaret
mini-muffin Posted February 12, 2011 #135 Posted February 12, 2011 Heck by the time I got home the snow had almost melted and the streets were dry. The truck was fine, I didn't hurt it. Margaret
mini-muffin Posted February 12, 2011 #137 Posted February 12, 2011 Well the truck appreciates it I'm sure Dan. Are ya happy now that you know it's fine?:crackup: Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 12, 2011 #138 Posted February 12, 2011 How does it go Mini? Do you like it better than just 2-wheel drive. I think I like the feel of a good front wheel drive on the road better than anything. I had a 86 Eldorado (spelling) that did great! I went around 4-wheel drives burning their tires off with that thing. Kept good tires on it and never got stuck with it. But the 4-wheels sure are great on slick stuff.
mini-muffin Posted February 13, 2011 #139 Posted February 13, 2011 Well we used the 4 WD the day after Christmas driving home from my folks. We drove into that snow storm. Only scary parts were that it rained down this way before it snowed so it was ice under the snow. Slid off into the median the 4WD got us back out. Was a bit fun we had to run down till the median got more level before we could get up and out. I never had 4WD when I drove in NY in the winter never had any trouble with rear wheel drive back then. Just depends on which tires get the traction. Hopefully the ones you need to pull or push ya out. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 13, 2011 #140 Posted February 13, 2011 Just be Careful with it. We don't want to see that Truck get scratched up!!
mini-muffin Posted February 13, 2011 #141 Posted February 13, 2011 I take very good care of my vehicles. The baby needs an oil change already got her filter and oil. She needs a bath from the spray that got all over her on thursday from the snow. (which is all gone now) Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 13, 2011 #142 Posted February 13, 2011 Strange light outside. Can't figure it out. Very bright and snow is going away??? I looked out window and could have sworn I heard "Ugly" chuckling.
mini-muffin Posted February 13, 2011 #143 Posted February 13, 2011 Cause Ugly is hoping the snow will be gone soon and she'll be on the road again. Oh big bright object in the sky is what some call the SUN and that melts the snow. It's sunny here and we'll be in the upper 50's and 60's this week. Here's to hoping that winter is over. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2011 #144 Posted February 14, 2011 Had to get out there. Tomorrow supposed to be even better and I got to go to STUPID Doctor!!!!
Dano Posted February 14, 2011 #145 Posted February 14, 2011 Over 50 today, with a clear path to the dry roads and I got the FLU yesterday. This s**ks!
mini-muffin Posted February 14, 2011 #146 Posted February 14, 2011 Wow that stinks getting the flu. Has the snow melted in WV yet Dan? If not doesn't really matter if you go to the doc tomorrow if you can't ride anyway. Make sure you're all good to go this year. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2011 #147 Posted February 14, 2011 Wow that stinks getting the flu. Has the snow melted in WV yet Dan? If not doesn't really matter if you go to the doc tomorrow if you can't ride anyway. Make sure you're all good to go this year. Margaret Wanting to cut on me again and it AIN'T gonna happen. At least not now. Pain in foot gets crazy sometime. He wants to LOOK??
mini-muffin Posted February 14, 2011 #148 Posted February 14, 2011 Well they might need to do what they need to do Dan. Gotta make sure you can use that foot. Let us know what happens. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2011 #149 Posted February 14, 2011 If he can chase me down and catch me on my 1st Gen he can do what he wants!!! Having a hard time finding any snow this morning. Still a little here and there.
mini-muffin Posted February 15, 2011 #150 Posted February 15, 2011 Should be pretty much all gone now the snow that is. It was nice and warm here yesterday, bit cooler today, then back up. I'm hoping this means spring is on it's way. Whatever happens with that foot you better take good care of it. I know we can't tell you to do what the doc says cause you don't always do what you're suppose to. You and Patsy have that in common don't ya? Margaret
