Double D Posted November 13, 2007 #1 Posted November 13, 2007 Got the Barons SubSonic tach in today and I figured that since I have to take the tank off to install the tach, that I might as well install some mood lights while I am at it. I am considering the Custom Dynamics Standard CD LED Accent Kit. It is $114 for the kit. Is this a good price or should I be looking elsewhere. I plan to put the blue lights on my Midnight RSV, just because I love the look that Boomer has on his bike.

Food for thought: You might want to reconcider on the blue lights.... Many states concider them illegal. Most State police and some local cops will give you a ticket for having Red or Blue lights on your bike if you are on the highway with them on. They say you are immitating an emergency vehicle.... Ask Grey Fox....he was lucky in that he received a warning... You can have the blue or red lights turn on if you are parked in a parking lot or private driveway, but you become illegal if yuo leave them on and pull onto the highway.... Hey, It's your call, but your decision could get expensive....... Dont shoot the messanger here....I didnt make up the law, and I surely dont support it...Im only passing on the info...

Double D Posted November 13, 2007 Author #4 Posted November 13, 2007 Thanks guys for the information. I am not sure what lights would look good on the midnight other than the blue.
Eck Posted November 13, 2007 #5 Posted November 13, 2007 Just a thought.. WHy not "pure white" led ligths............. You can check them out at your local auto store..
yamahamer Posted November 13, 2007 #6 Posted November 13, 2007 I HAVE RED ON MY MIDNIGHT CALLED DIAMOND LIGHTS VERY EASY TO INSTALL COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND THEY ARE SINGLE LIGHTS SO THEY ARE EASY TO HIDE ON THESE BIKES GOT MINE AT A RALLY FOR $99.99 FROM THIS GUY. http://www.bwvtwinmotorcycle.com/
sarges46 Posted November 13, 2007 #7 Posted November 13, 2007 One of the guys here....I cant remember who, put either purple or blue lights into his fairing. He drilled little holes I think and made it so the lights shone through his clear plastic on the lower part of the fairing. It was very nice and really not bright enough to be mistaken for a emergency vehicle.
Double D Posted November 20, 2007 Author #8 Posted November 20, 2007 Well, my local law enforcement friend told me that blue and red lights are a no-no here in Tennessee. What a shame--BUT instead of buying the lights, I just ordered the Dyna 3000. :mo money:My local dealer got it for me for $239 tax and all. I had to jump on it. As for the tach, it is still sitting on my work bench. As some of you know, I have issues with my back and it has been sort of controlling me lately if you know what I mean. So I have decided to let the service guy put it on while they are changing my I basket next week. It is worth the $40 to have him do it right.
Double D Posted November 29, 2007 Author #9 Posted November 29, 2007 Well, the tach and Dyna 3000 are installed. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Best money I have spent so far. Now to put in K&N air filter and I think I will be done for a while.
