star4772 Posted January 12, 2011 #1 Posted January 12, 2011 Well the time has come and I am going to give up being a OTR owner operator. I will be leaving Thur. to take my lease truck back to Mn. and turn it in. I landed a dedicated run here 1 mile from the house home every night and no weekends. It will end up about 11 hours a day and $975.00 a week I think it was a good deal so I jumped on it. LESS STRESS. :dancefool:

You know your route of travel as well as your stops every day with a regular pay check. Been driving trucks for over 35 years, both local and OTR. Local is better........Did the OTR stuff back in the 70's and early 80's when power steering was a day dream!!. A/C wasnt too big back then either.

Monfort...I remember them. Fastest trucks on the road back then. I drove part time OTR for McLean Trucking....we too had our own lane.....LOL:smile5:
