Aussie Annie Posted January 11, 2011 #1 Posted January 11, 2011 Boy, someone did You people have more snow than usual, and snow where you don't normally get it -- and the east coast of Australia is getting hammered with rain and floods. Over here in the west we are dry and hot and fighting bush fires. Poor Queensland won't have much left if it don't stop raining!! Glad we moved back here.

Aussie Annie Posted January 11, 2011 Author #3 Posted January 11, 2011 Yes, so am I. Watching the news last night and saw a freak wall of water 7 meters high wash down the main street of a Qld city. Poor buggers had no warning. As of this morning there are 7 confirmed dead, with more missing...sad
friesman Posted January 11, 2011 #4 Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Same crap here, we have had an early, cold, and way, way more snow than a normal year. But from what Ive been reading we are experiencing a LA Nina year, (opposite of El nino) and that the weather has been typical of that type of year. http://www.elnino.noaa.gov/lanina_new_faq.html Brian Edited January 11, 2011 by friesman
