As the leaves are falling and the tempatures are droping I look at Jacks bike sitting in the driveway and know that I have to clean the bike before it get put into the garage for the winter. We have used just simple green all summer long to do the regular cleaning and now that it time to put her away I want to make it look like the day that we bought it. So what is the best wax cleaner to make it shine. I have to get this done today before the hunting season starts on Thrusday because all my spare time will be out in the woods with my daughters. Any help will be apperciated

Thanks

Jessie

P.S. No smart alleck comments about me having to clean the bike because I know there will be some lol

Well, I live in the south, so I dont really put mine up for the winter, but if I had to, I would Wash and dry her off real good.

Giver her a darn good waxing with plain old regular turtle paste wax....

You cant beat that old paste wax...it's been around a long time..

Then lift her off the ground / pavement where her sneakers (tires) are not touching and if they do, I would put a piece of plywood / board between the tire and ground surface.

Install a battery tender..

Cover her up with a protection cover, and put her to bed for the winter.

I do the same here as when I lived in MI, mostly Shiawassee County until 1999, when I got sent here.

First is 'Stabil/Heet/STP/ or 1 cup Isopropyl alcohol' in gas tank & run into carbs to keep water out. Top off tank to prevent rust.

Change all fluids: brake, clutch, oil, and new anti-freeze in radiator.

Soap & water in the driveway if it's really dirty [bugs].

Since I don't let it get very dirty, I clean everything with Windex & do seats with vinyl conditioner [it's always in the garage if not being rode.

Then I clean wheels with aircraft paint stripper & they look new.

I use easy-buff polymer instead of 'wax'.

Low gloss Armor-all on all the black plastic, louvers, etc.

I put some 'tire-shine' on clean tires.

1.0 amp battery tender during months its too cold to take for a spin, or light charge one day a week during freeze.

Up on center stand & cover from dust.

Scoot is always in heated-AC garage & Lawn Tractor stays out back in the shed.
