j_berg Posted June 6, 2011 #104 Posted June 6, 2011 there is no such thing as a horrorcast.they dont have any idea of what it is going to be like until after it happens.so we will find out on saturday what it was like on friday and they will still get it wrong.
Flyinfool Posted June 6, 2011 #105 Posted June 6, 2011 there is no such thing as a horrorcast.they dont have any idea of what it is going to be like until after it happens.so we will find out on saturday what it was like on friday and they will still get it wrong. You are so rite. I have often said that they are lucky if they can tell you what happened yesterday. I wish I could find a job where I got paid big money to be wrong most of the time. But I still do look at it, the things that they are sometimes usually close on is the temp and the wind direction. In the winter I have had to ride home in several inches of partly cloudy a few times.
GG54172 Posted June 7, 2011 #106 Posted June 7, 2011 Be good to meet you and the Missus though. Later, Scooter Bob Yeah, unfortunately I won't be able to come out. All the babysitters are off doing camping type activities, and the kids dont fit in the saddlebags anymore:whistling: Maybe next time.
RedRider Posted June 7, 2011 #107 Posted June 7, 2011 Yeah, unfortunately I won't be able to come out. All the babysitters are off doing camping type activities, and the kids dont fit in the saddlebags anymore:whistling: Maybe next time. I'll take over the clutch work then. Sorry to miss you this time. RR
Flyinfool Posted June 7, 2011 #108 Posted June 7, 2011 I just changed to YES on the calendar. I don't yet know if I can sneak up Friday after work, or just Saturday morning. Either way I have to be home Saturday night to take care of Erikas foot. This will be a good test trip for my trailer and hitch. I still have not had a chance to pull it, and the weather does not look good to even try taking it to work a couple of times before the weekend. I sure hope that you can get those showers out of the horrorcast. I have no real rain gear. Besides, I already had my shower for this month........
Scooter Bob Posted June 7, 2011 Author #109 Posted June 7, 2011 I have no real rain gear. Besides, I already had my shower for this month........ You can borrow my raingear. I'm not going anywhere this weekend. LOL Glad to hear the about the YES! Later, Scooter Bob
Flyinfool Posted June 7, 2011 #110 Posted June 7, 2011 You can borrow my raingear. I'm not going anywhere this weekend. LOL Glad to hear the about the YES! Later, Scooter Bob Ummm...... I'm not sure that your rain gear would fit me. I think I've eaten more ice cream than you have.......... And I would hate to see what my internal pics would look like.......
RedRider Posted June 7, 2011 #111 Posted June 7, 2011 Ummm...... And I would hate to see what my internal pics would look like....... We would hate to see that too. RR
Rick Haywood Posted June 8, 2011 #112 Posted June 8, 2011 OK, please keep me informed. So far that's the only tires I have heard about, so I don't want to leave the guy hanging, in case he wants to go for a putt or sumtin. Carb Sync is no problem. See you Friday, Scooter Bob Scooter Bob, tell your friendthanks for the offer but no tires before we leave so I will just have to come up and drink beer..............and I can open them for others also.
RedRider Posted June 8, 2011 #113 Posted June 8, 2011 Just realized I had not 'officialy' RSVP'd. In. RR
Scooter Bob Posted June 8, 2011 Author #114 Posted June 8, 2011 Scooter Bob, tell your friendthanks for the offer but no tires before we leave so I will just have to come up and drink beer..............and I can open them for others also. What kind of tires did you order? I've got a new set of avons that I won't need for a month or so. Later, Scooter Bob
Scooter Bob Posted June 8, 2011 Author #115 Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) So...When you get to Fox Lake, WI, look for these signs. http://tapatalk.com/mu/a6b5410e-039f-db54.jpg There will be one at the intersection of 33 and 68 (State St and Spring St) ,just east of downtown, pointing south. One at the intersection of 33 (Spring St) and Crocker St pointing West. One at the intersection of Crocker St and College Ave pointing West. And, one at the intersection of Crocker and Rosedale Ave pointing South. Another 1/2 block south, and we're on the left (east side) in the Grey ranch with 2 car garage attached. I'll leave my bike out in the yard as well. 108 Rosedale Avenue, Fox Lake, WI 53933 See Ya'll Friday or Saturday:thumbsup2:, Scooter Bob and Karen Edited June 8, 2011 by Scooter Bob added directions
Flyinfool Posted June 9, 2011 #116 Posted June 9, 2011 Now I'll really be confused. Those signs are pointing in opposite directions.........
Rick Haywood Posted June 9, 2011 #117 Posted June 9, 2011 Now I'll really be confused. Those signs are pointing in opposite directions......... I am glad he explained because I was a wondering how the heck I was gonna see them in the garage Scooter Bob as for the tires I appreciate the offer but I kind of favor the Dunlap e'3s I had a set of the Avons and I just didn't like them. Good tire but just wasn't to my liking. See you all Friday Night.
icebrrg3rd Posted June 9, 2011 #118 Posted June 9, 2011 I have been thinking about this, but my bike all of a sudden decided it doesn't want to shift anymore. From searching, it might be the shift pins have slipped out. So if I get it fixed, I might be able to run out there on Sat. Granted, my bike needs lots of maintenance, but the wallet is too thin right now, so it'll probably be just more meet than maint. -Andrew p.s. flyinfool, when were you planning on going?
Flyinfool Posted June 9, 2011 #119 Posted June 9, 2011 p.s. flyinfool, when were you planning on going? Depending on if I get everything done and loaded tonight, I would like to leave here right after work, about 5:30, on Friday night. That will get me there while it is still light out. If things do not work out then I will be heading up there early Saturday morning. Either way I have to be home Saturday night. If I go up on Sat I do not need to bring the trailer, If I go up Fri then I need the trailer for the tent, bed, camping stuff, clothes and misc stuff. I have a huge tent that sleeps 8. What part of Milwaukee are you?
icebrrg3rd Posted June 9, 2011 #120 Posted June 9, 2011 What part of Milwaukee are you? I'm just southeast of the stadium. Off of Lincoln & 35th. I'm going to be looking at the bike after work today to see if it's repairable. I can't head out Fri, but I can leave anytime Sat. -Andrew
Flyinfool Posted June 9, 2011 #121 Posted June 9, 2011 I should know by the end of tonight if I will be heading up on Fri night or Sat morning. Since I am coming from Cudahy, you are kind of on the way. If I do not go up on Friday, maybe I can stop by you Fri night to help brea..... I mean fix things.
icebrrg3rd Posted June 9, 2011 #122 Posted June 9, 2011 Are you suggesting that I can't brea... fix things all by myself?!? I have the proper tool for the job: http://www.faqs.org/photo-dict/photofiles/list/3209/4266lump_hammer.jpg I'll post tomorrow if I get her running and will change my status from maybe to yes. -Andrew
Flyinfool Posted June 9, 2011 #123 Posted June 9, 2011 Not at all. Just that that is an awfully small tool that you have there. Mines bigger.
