1BigDog Posted November 12, 2007 #1 Posted November 12, 2007 I need to replace my rectifier. Is there an easy way to access it or do I have to remove the lower fairing/etc?

FreezyRider Posted November 12, 2007 #4 Posted November 12, 2007 You can get it out by just removing the right side lower if I remember correctly. But still easier if you remove both sides.
1BigDog Posted November 12, 2007 Author #5 Posted November 12, 2007 I was afraid of that.....oh well, more work to do..thanks....
Monsta Posted November 13, 2007 #6 Posted November 13, 2007 The lowers are like, what, 2-3 bolts each side?? Maybe you can take a break between removing each bolt.

Squidley Posted November 14, 2007 #8 Posted November 14, 2007 Jeff, If my memory serves me correctly I dont believe that you have to pull the lowers. 2 10mm bolts and it will fall out, put it up on the jack and that will make the process much easier.
BradT Posted November 14, 2007 #9 Posted November 14, 2007 I agree with Squid, but it will make it easier. My First Oil change I read the manua which said to remove this, so I did. After getting it apart I realized this was not needed. Brad
