kevin-vic-b.c. Posted December 31, 2010 #26 Posted December 31, 2010 I ride all year, ice and occasional snow is all that stops me. I am just below the 49th parallel on the Canadian West Coast. Kinda chilly the last few days hovering around the freezing point but you dress for what you have. Same with rain, the best part of having a 1st Gen is you do not get too much wind and rain on the rider. Oh is this where I can say.... 1st Gens Rule !
Aimhigh Posted December 31, 2010 #27 Posted December 31, 2010 I guess saying I can ride all year in San Antonio is not all that impressive. The limitations here are more likely to be too hot! When I had my 550 I would ride as long as the temp did not go below 40 degrees...I was a bit younger then, though.
E-Fishin-C Posted December 31, 2010 #28 Posted December 31, 2010 :Laugh:Whether its -40F or 0 ,:dancefool:I ride my FJR everyday,I open the garage ,uncover the FJR start it up and travel 4 feet every day in the garage
N3FOL Posted December 31, 2010 #29 Posted December 31, 2010 I also ride all year round, but I am not that far north. Cold does not stop me. Rain, snow and Ice will. Today, I was able to get at least 15 miles after not riding for 2 weeks.

We had a little snow a few weeks ago so I insured my car for 3 months just in case but drove it to work only twice so far.
