sleepy2 Posted December 29, 2010 #1 Posted December 29, 2010 Old subject but have line on bike for parts that has had diaphrams changed (84) and can't remember if they are close to being the same as 87 or close. Can they be used in 87?
dingy Posted December 29, 2010 #2 Posted December 29, 2010 The diaphragms are the same I believe, but the plastic sliders are different. Gary
sleepy2 Posted December 31, 2010 Author #3 Posted December 31, 2010 Thanks dingy for the reply. I was looking back for any other write-ups but couldn't find anything. I ask because the line I have on an 84 says he replaced his and my 87 probably needs them(was not quite right before accident few years ago).Still trying to find body parts P.s. Happy New Year
tazmocycle Posted January 2, 2011 #4 Posted January 2, 2011 i have been trying tom get some diaphrams for my 86, but couldn't get a reply from them. it says there isn't a web addr by that name. need to get them and get itback together because my friend moved and i need to get the bike from there, was hoping to get most back together before moving it. if anybody can get me a good addr to get them i'd be very thankful.
Marcarl Posted January 2, 2011 #5 Posted January 2, 2011 I think the only difference in the sliders is the hole size in the bottom of the slider. I know I changed one for the other a couple of years ago and had to drill out the hole a wee bit,,,, just can't remember which was bigger. I have a extra carb set here, just have no idea what shape the diaphragms are in yet.
