Condor Posted December 19, 2010 #5 Posted December 19, 2010 I saw those too, and was going to bid on them, but if I remember there was some sort of issue with them being legal in California???
Sleeperhawk Posted December 19, 2010 #6 Posted December 19, 2010 Being dumb, but what do these lenses cover on the RSV
Flyinfool Posted December 19, 2010 #7 Posted December 19, 2010 I think they are probably "not legal for street use" in most states. The reason is that they do reduce the amount of light than is visible. Because they reduce the transmitted light, they will reduce your visibility to other drivers.
Condor Posted December 19, 2010 #8 Posted December 19, 2010 Being dumb, but what do these lenses cover on the RSV They're for the turn signal lights. They're opaque enough to let the light look normal, but give the appearance of more bling.... I think there was a Youtube on them, but I can't remember the title...
Sleeperhawk Posted December 19, 2010 #9 Posted December 19, 2010 If these cover the turn signals, why in the hell would you want to cover them????
Condor Posted December 19, 2010 #10 Posted December 19, 2010 If these cover the turn signals, why in the hell would you want to cover them???? Because they can.........
friesman Posted December 19, 2010 #11 Posted December 19, 2010 If these cover the turn signals, why in the hell would you want to cover them???? The signal light still shine thru the chrome look, but a bit reduced in intensity.
camos Posted December 19, 2010 #12 Posted December 19, 2010 The signal light still shine thru the chrome look, but a bit reduced in intensity. So the only time these things will add bling is when the bike is not running. Hmmm... seems more suited to those who Hardly ever ride their iron horse.
