Yammer Dan Posted December 19, 2010 #6 Posted December 19, 2010 Warden and I decided to play hookey from all the crap this year. I've fought Insurance companies all year for a lousey year and don't need all the **** that goes with this holiday now. Done informed all the kids we are not doing it this year due to everything. Just can't afford it with the size of my family. I will still bake the cake I usually do and put the same words on it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS Didn't mean to wreck your thread Tom. Thats a good looking tree.
Jayceesfolly Posted December 19, 2010 #7 Posted December 19, 2010 Big Tom: Here are our trees. We have two outside that my wife made out of wire tomato cages. Next year save your tomato cages and let Taters make trees for the kids. The guard dog is there to protect the cookies and milk on Christmas Eve. Jim

Gary N. Posted December 19, 2010 #10 Posted December 19, 2010 Here is our tree this year, with Ella who was so tired she would not smile. Merry Christmas everyone. Yama Mama Nice Peggy. I had a three track electric train just like that, way back when.
Yama Mama Posted December 19, 2010 #11 Posted December 19, 2010 :santa:Gary when I was a little girl, this was my dream Christmas present. However, because I was a girl, Santa never brought it to me. I got a wind up train instead. So after Ron and I got hitched, I was very excited he had a big Lionel train set with a lot of accessories. I guess he was my answer to my dreams, but to not tell him, it will go to his head. Hehehehe. Yama Mama
Scooter Bob Posted December 19, 2010 #13 Posted December 19, 2010 Here's ours for this year. We let Karen's 5 year old granddaughter pick it out and decorate it. Since Jocelyn and her mother moved back home a couple weeks ago, we don't have room for a bigger one. We'll bring this one in the house before Santa shows up, and plant it next spring. http://184.72.239.143/mu/a6deb423-3849-7d54.jpg Later, Scooter Bob

Beensie Posted December 20, 2010 #16 Posted December 20, 2010 I love this time of year! We only exchange homemade food & gifts (the balls were made & given to me by my mom last year) and the big celebration is all getting together for a simple meal and lots of good friendship. We went small on the tree because our son has taken over the meeting place for the first time as of this year. Sooo relaxing & fun - gives us more time to travel Merry Christmas All!
