I'm making plans for some mods and/or upgrades this winter....auxiliary power, rear lights and etc.... I have read many valuable posts, made notes, saved pictures and etc. I extremely value and analyze the opinions of those that have "been there and done that"....this site has some very intelligent and sharing members....Thanks.

Having and maintaining the proper air pressure in the front shocks is paramount for the RSV to handle consistently... in my opinion. The air volume in the front shocks, being so small, I drop the compressor tank pressure to 6psi, check and recheck, then air my front shocks.....very time consuming, but the most accurate way that I know. I did many searches, but have not found the answer to my "BRAINSTORM" sooo "HELP".:fishin:

I plan to use a quality 1/8 or 3/16 air line and fittings to tee and join the front shocks together, run the air line back to a saddlebag, where I will have the Progressive Pump and Pressure Gauge.......Will I need to use check valves to avoid issues in a curve...with the shocks teed together ???

I'm sitting...sooo.. YOUR OPINION ?? Thanks in advance:thumbsup2:

This is a neat set up that Freebird posted also one on my bucket list:

I have the kit and was ready to install it but after installing the progressive front forks, the bike is fine with 0 air pressure in the forks, so now they are indeed balanced.

The kit is simple enough to install.. and if at worse case scenario you were to suffer a leak, the leak would be equalized across both forks..

What a HUGE improvement in handling when you have your folks balanced.

If you're not going to use the balancing kit, would you like to sell it ? I've been wanting to add that kit to my bike, just been to lazy to order it up.

It would be cheaper and easier for you to purchase online and have it shipped to you etc.. (seriously).. Its only about $20 or so for the kit..

Cabot Trail is best in early Sept.. we tend to have GREAT weather that time of year.. sometimes better than July and August (go Global Warming), and all the tourists are mostly home with kids in school..

Depending which direction you want to do the trail (counter clock wise puts you on water's edge while clockwise puts you on inland side of the road.. Some people get nervous riding along the edges.. beautiful "Highlands", you'll see why ;)

If you're going CLOCKWISE, you'll want to spend the night in Chetticamp, which is on the western entrance to the Cabot Trail.. if coming in from the East entrance, you can spend the night in Port Hawksbury.. These two towns will give you an early enough jumping off spots to properly enjoy the Trail with lots of time on your hands.. There are many easy access look off spots to enjoy the views etc. I was looking for my photos from the last trip but must have archived them off the server..

So yeah, if you come out this way, do drop me a line and let me know.. I can meet you in Truro on your way east (Halifax is due south from Truro as you travel the 104 east)..

Fun Fun

yeah, what do you need to carry guns for coming up here?! Food isn't THAT expensive you have to go hunting! Well sometimes it is.. not always.. Mind your gas budget for after you cross into Canada.. it will always be higher than US prices even though most of your gas comes from Canada.. (go figure that one out.. sheesh).. Currently, regular 87 gas is going for 1.16 a ltre.. close to 5 bucks a gallon.. but it's the GOOD stuff.. not that weak kneed stuff from down south ;) drop me an email if you need more detailed info.

You are right. I didn't think about cross border shipping. Thanks anyhow. Guess I'll order it up after the 1st of the year. :thumbsup2:
