Yama Mama Posted December 16, 2010 #1 Posted December 16, 2010 Off work today because of snow. We had a 2 hour delay on Monday, and got hit with another snow storm this morning. I told Ron that I have given up on my Christmas Day ride. There will be too much salt and other debris now. I told him he can get out the tool box and start tearing her apart. He has a bunch of things to do. So I figure if he starts now, it might be back together at the end of March rather than May which is what usually happens. Oh my. No leather for months. It is going to be a looooooooooooooooooong winter! Yama Mama:snow2::sleigh:
Dano Posted December 16, 2010 #2 Posted December 16, 2010 We were closed on Monday, 2 hrs on Tuesday, just got smacked with 4"+ this morning. I'm sending it your way right down 74!

Squidley Posted December 16, 2010 #5 Posted December 16, 2010 You're still missing all the fun, AND you gotta go to work today!!!!! I'll work over dealing with that kind of fun, 40+ years was too much
etcswjoe Posted December 16, 2010 #6 Posted December 16, 2010 They said on the news this morning we had a record amount of snow last night (a trace). I rode in this morning after two weeks of having what a fellow member said was PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome). Enjoy your snow day.
Flyinfool Posted December 16, 2010 #7 Posted December 16, 2010 No snow here either. Some people just have all of the luck.

mm482 Posted December 16, 2010 #9 Posted December 16, 2010 Started snowing around 7:30 am and has stoped now, it may be 1/2 inch. I went out and started up the bike and let it warn up good. I wanted to make sure it will be ready tomorrow for a little ride. Earl
bongobobny Posted December 16, 2010 #10 Posted December 16, 2010 Yah! I finally have to go back to work next Monday after a month off! You can always wear your leather underwear (for Ron, of course) while he is tearing the scoot apart...
Bobby G Posted December 16, 2010 #11 Posted December 16, 2010 The whole of north GA from the ATL on up was a glaze of ice yesterday and this morning, creating massive gridlock and literally thousands of accidents, but the forecast for later today and tomorrow is back into the '50's, so as soon as the rain and drizzle stops, I'm goin ridin!
mini-muffin Posted December 16, 2010 #12 Posted December 16, 2010 Well it's still snowing here, we're suppose to get rain and or sleet later. Just love the winter surprises we get when they aren't sure. Of course we aren't gonna get much snow so we can't complain it'll be gone soon enough. Margaret
BoomerCPO Posted December 16, 2010 #13 Posted December 16, 2010 No sign of snow here in southwest Loozeeanner....outside temp is sitting at 71 now with a balmy 5mph breeze. Am I gonna ride today? Hmmmmmm....... Boomer....who sez there's a lot to be said fer drunken nekkid pygmies playing in the traffic.
Iowawegian Posted December 16, 2010 #14 Posted December 16, 2010 I'm jealous of ya Boomer.....The hubby's been plowing roads for 8 days straight starting at 3:00 am. Poor guy can't even keep his eyes open to eat supper before he hits the sack. 70 degrees sounds like heaven right now....and yeah, another 3-5 inches is piling up outside my office right now!
mini-muffin Posted December 16, 2010 #15 Posted December 16, 2010 Since it won't last long I took pics of our snow. I can hear sleet at the moment then we're suppose to get the rain. So here's two pics of the pretty white stuff. I can say that cause it won't last long. If I had feet of snow it wouldn't be pretty at all. Margaret

If it wuz up to me there would only be ONE day of Winter with snow/cold and that would be on Christmas Eve only! Boomer.....who sez all the little guys deserve de opportunity to write their name in the snow with their God-given implement.
Yama Mama Posted December 16, 2010 Author #17 Posted December 16, 2010 Nice to hear from all of you. Some of you in the warm weather though are as irritating as my leather underwear. At any rate (justing kidding) here are some photos of the snow we had today. Yama Mama
mini-muffin Posted December 16, 2010 #18 Posted December 16, 2010 Peg you might want to put a sweater of some sort on the dog maybe a bright pink or something. This way you don't lose the dog. :rotf::rotf: Margaret
Gary N. Posted December 17, 2010 #19 Posted December 17, 2010 Wow Peggy, you're a couple hundred mile SOUTH of us or more and you have way more snow then we do. But we don't have to go too far north to find a whole lot of it. We only have about 2" on the ground here but my son has about four feet up in London, only 100 miles NE of here. Hope you guys get it all cleaned up before I head south in a couple of weeks. A little rain to wash the salt off would be nice too.
rickardracing Posted December 17, 2010 #20 Posted December 17, 2010 I had two cnc mills running while programming another job when all went quiet. Both machines stopped, went into a low air pressure alarm. Both air compressors are outside in an out building. One has been broke down for about 6 months........the one that was running........froze solid.......and it was only in the low 20's today. We ended up putting a 110,000 btu torpedo heater in there. Took 4 hours to thaw it out before it would run again. I work for a multi-million dollar global company.................pretty good deal.........
Yammer Dan Posted December 17, 2010 #21 Posted December 17, 2010 I DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT MY WAY UP THAT MOUNTAIN TO THAT ^##^^#@!! PRISON THIS YEAR!!!:snow2::thumbsup2: Sitting and watching it fall ain't bad at all!!
