Yes it does few drops of 90w oil on the rollers, if drive is a screw drive use any automotive grease lightly coated, if it is a chain drive 30w oil and wipe off excess..

Mine is a chain drive I just pour 30 or 40w oil on a rag wipe it down

With that in mind, do you have issues with your automatic garage door openers being able to function in the extreme cold? Do you have automatic garage door openers specifically designed for cold weather or just keep your garage heated? :scratchchin:

Not sure, I'll have to ask the wife. She kind of opens it automatically? :big-grin-emoticon:

Since I have the directions laying on the table I looked. It says to lubricate all moving parts annually with light household oil. It then lists the parts. It specifically says *NOT* to lubricate nylon rollers.

That is true mine has the ball bearing in it, so they need lube from time to time

Never read my directions either, but I spray a little white grease in the can on the chain and the steel rollers.

Garage is attached to the house, and it hardley ever gets below freezing with no heater. Even when it is -20 f outside. The snow from the vehicle melts and forms a ice sheet at the door. When the door comes down it will hit the beam and then go back up. Other than that no problems, so far.
