Guest cyote61 Posted November 9, 2007 #4 Posted November 9, 2007 Being able to jump on the bike anytime, 365 days a year, ridding off into the sunset without planning and staying gone for weeks at a time. Life is good!
Sailor Posted November 9, 2007 #7 Posted November 9, 2007 Being able to do what I want when I want, so long as SWMBO doesn't catch up to me.
mini-muffin Posted November 9, 2007 #8 Posted November 9, 2007 I'd think retirement would be being Lowell. He goes all the time. Never know where he'll show up next. Where's he at now, does anyone know? Margaret

eagleeye Posted November 9, 2007 #13 Posted November 9, 2007 I'm thinking that retirement will be when I get up in the morning and don't know or care what day it is. Steve

Marcarl Posted November 10, 2007 #15 Posted November 10, 2007 You quit working for some else and do what you want to do. Yep, I retired in 1988 and started doing what I wanted to do and now am so busy doing what I thought I wanted to do, I don't have time to do the things I want to do again, so I'll now have to make some money and then attempt to do what it I want to do some more. More than that, my retirement package is out of this world.
Rolling Barcalounger Posted November 10, 2007 #16 Posted November 10, 2007 OK how about this Growing a big cinderella belly that looks much like a tractor tire around your size 60 waist from your 20's and losing this giant beer gut in your 30's slimming down to a 32 waist again then growing it back again in your 40's because of all the extra skin that used to be your gut looks like a mudflap on the back of a garbage truck.
robertbob Posted November 10, 2007 #17 Posted November 10, 2007 What is your definition of being retired? "Not having to work to make a leaving."
