Freebird Posted December 4, 2010 #1 Posted December 4, 2010 The Oberlin Inn emailed Nance56 with the following information. Due to the way that they did us last year, I am NOT endorsing them in any way but felt it only fair to at least let you all know. "The Oberlin Inn contacted me and told me that they would let us have rooms for the 89.95 same as always. I told them that we were not happy with the treatment that our members received. She said that they were aware of that, but that several stayed there last year. I will leave this to you to post it if you want. She said to just tell them you are with ventureriders and you will get that rate. We do not have any type of agreement with them. She just wanted to extend the offer. I do know that this was out of her hands and she was not happy either. When you are an employee you do not always get a say in the matter."
RandyR Posted December 4, 2010 #2 Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) Is the rate for a tent space around the pond the same as last year too? Edited December 4, 2010 by RandyR
Freebird Posted December 4, 2010 Author #3 Posted December 4, 2010 No, I'm offering a discount this year. 20% off last years rates. So....0 x .8 = .....hmmm...... yea....seems to be just about the same price.

Freebird Posted December 4, 2010 Author #5 Posted December 4, 2010 Yea, I thought about you. That's why I offered the 20% discount. Trying to entice folks to stay anyway.

Monty Posted December 5, 2010 #19 Posted December 5, 2010 Don, will we be able to plug in our AC units(5,000 BTU), on our pop-ups? I will pay for my power usage.
Freebird Posted December 5, 2010 Author #20 Posted December 5, 2010 Yes, so long as there aren't too many that you can't all get to the outlets. There are several circuits in the greenhouse and one out by the pier at the pond.
Monty Posted December 5, 2010 #21 Posted December 5, 2010 Kewl, then I cal "dibs" on the one by the pier.
Freebird Posted December 5, 2010 Author #22 Posted December 5, 2010 LOL....calling dibs may not work. I won't be out there monitoring where people set up. It is pretty much first come and all that.
Owen Posted December 5, 2010 #24 Posted December 5, 2010 Don, will we be able to plug in our AC units(5,000 BTU), on our pop-ups? I will pay for my power usage. AC units in Ohio?? You're kidding right?? :rotf:
