My ridding buddy traded his 2007 electra glide for a white 2011 Vision, and man that a sweet ride. I can tell you that it will out corner the RSV with no trouble. He was going around clover leaf exit saturday flying with no effort, I could stay with him without dragging the floorboards, but his were close too.

The Vision may be ugly to most, but the refinements they have made in the 2011, I think it is the great touring machine, it gives the Goldwing competition.

I've never ridden one. I sat on one and was amazed at how well balanced they are. You can pretty much raise it from the side stand with your fingertips. I would like to ride one someday and suspect that they handle great but the looks just do nothing for me. That's just my preference though. I just love the cruiser styling of the RSV.

But comparing the Victory to the Venture - The Victory is a NEW Bike. They continue to refine their design. The Venture is an OLD design.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Venture, but Yamaha needs to get with the program and make the small refinements along the way.

Or, one could look at it another way - Yamaha did such a great job with the 2nd Gens, they feel they don't NEED to refine anything.

the vision might be a tech advanced bike with alot of nice refinements but if you get laughed at when you ride one sort of defeats any chance of being cool. Cause I will laugh and point at Mr. Jetson and his Spacely Sprockets bike

I've ridden a Vision for about 200 miles and just don't care for the bike, I'm 6'6" & 275 lbs and I feel cramped on the bike, the bike rides "short" feels like it was designed for someone 5'10" or so. (I feel the same way about the new Goldwings) My wife who has over 700000 miles behind me over 36 years and more bikes than I can count absolutely hated the seat, the foot position and the ride. Neither one of us ever got comfortable. I also think it is unbelievably butt ugly. I can deal with a "different" looking bike if it has superior performance (my VMax) or is very comfortable (my UltraClassic) on a long trip. The Vision is just not the bike for me. I will try to ride everything that's out there so that can have an informed opinion (plus it is a hell of a lot of fun to go 120 mph on a Hyabusa, hit a twisty road on a Ducatti or an R1, or do an Iron Butt 1000 miles in 24 hours on the Ultra) I love motorcycles just not the Victorys
