RSV Angel Posted November 12, 2007 #51 Posted November 12, 2007 I ride a 99 RSV with an "Angel" theme. Custom paintjob to honor the Guardian Angel that has been watching over my wife and I for many years. If not for the angels we would not be here.
Guest muskrat Posted November 13, 2007 #52 Posted November 13, 2007 Muskrat from about 7th grade on - when kids (they can be so cruel) started saying I looked like a Muskrat. In 7th grade, I had no idea what a Muskrat looked like - but it stuck. Lots of folks I have ridden with over years who only know me by Muskrat. Avatar is a painting called "Muskrat from Hell" - if you could see the detail it has a giant muskrat with flames in background and he is holding a car. Found it on an obscure website "Everything Muskrat" I found which has stories, information, pictures and images of muskrats. Interesting - who would spend time to put that together? Signature - I change it every couple months drawing from a collection of off the wall sayings or quotations I have. Have used Woody Allen, Dan Quisenberry and now have a classic Yogi Berra quote. Good thread.
WIKD Posted November 13, 2007 #53 Posted November 13, 2007 Mine was given to me about 12 years ago while I was racing a FZR 1000. One of the guys at the track kept yelling that the guy on the FZR was wicked fast. He said it so much a few of the other guys started to mimic him and it just kinda stuck after a few weeks. I had a personal plate made that said WIKDFZR and spelled it wikd because of the amount of letters allowed and WIKD has been around ever since.
SilvrT Posted November 14, 2007 #54 Posted November 14, 2007 For many years I have been a supervisor/manger, a leader of people, I like wolves and I was born in 1956. Hence, Leadwolf56. "If you're not the lead wolf the view never changes" :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: dang... and all this time I thought the "Lead" part meant... Lead (pronounced /ˈlɛd/) is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Pb (Latin: plumbum) and atomic number 82. A soft, heavy, toxic and malleable poor metal, lead is bluish white when freshly cut but tarnishes to dull gray when exposed to air. Lead is used in building construction, lead-acid batteries, bullets and shot, weights for model railroad cars, and is part of solder, pewter, and fusible alloys. Lead has the highest atomic number of all stable elements, although the next element, bismuth, has a half life so long (longer than the estimated age of the universe) it can be considered stable. Like mercury, another heavy metal, lead is a potent neurotoxin which accumulates in soft tissues and bone over time. :rotf::rotf:
SilvrT Posted November 14, 2007 #55 Posted November 14, 2007 SilvrT ... short for Silver Tongue Devil .... given to me by a certain lady friend cuz I smooth-talked her into dating me. The signature... There's an old saying that you can fix just about anything as long as you have a ball-peen hammer. Silicone works wonders and has to be one of the greatest inventions since sliced bread so, .......
1 - UP Posted November 14, 2007 #56 Posted November 14, 2007 I took 1 - UP because I don't have anyone riding with me. Just one on the bike. Ken:confused24:
Guest Popeye Posted November 14, 2007 #57 Posted November 14, 2007 I chose mine from an old event. I was about 3 years old & bullies picked on me in Detroit where i lived until recently. The feeling of being shoved around by a few bigger kids left me in anguish, they took my free CrackerJack toy from me, a tiny bus. Went home & Popeye was on, so I watched awhile & liked it. Before it was over, I went & found those bad kids & confronted them [2 houses away]. They beat the wax out of me, but I went home & felt a lot better, with my toy. The experience taught me that a beating often hurts less than retreating. Thus, Popeye became my model. I'm even married to a tall, thin woman. I always thought Olive Oyl was a babe....still do. Besides: "I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam." How to argue that.
MasterGuns Posted November 14, 2007 #58 Posted November 14, 2007 I think mine is obvious. I served over thirty years in the U.S. Marine Corps and had to retire since all Uncle Sam will let you do is thirty even though I went slightly over. I retired a Master Gunnery Sergeant hence "MasterGuns" is my ID. My signature is "Semper Fi" and all you former Jarheads know the history behind that latin phrase. I have been retired since 1996 and miss the Corps every minute of everyday. I would head to Iraq in a heartbeat if they'd take me back. Once a Marine, always a Marine. If anyone could be a Marine, there wouldn't Marines! Semper Fi
LetHimRide Posted November 15, 2007 #59 Posted November 15, 2007 Well.. I've been on a motordriven two wheels since I passed my m/c lic on a Honda 70cc. I kinda borrowed my sig. from Willy Nelson's " Red Headed Stranger" alblem. I like his music and I liked the song. The story states not to mess with his horse and the same goes with my scooter.. just let him ride.
