Gentleman George Posted November 9, 2007 #26 Posted November 9, 2007 One of the guys in the band started introducing me as Gentleman George. So henc the "Gentleman George Band" ..
Sailboarder Posted November 9, 2007 #27 Posted November 9, 2007 I picked Sailboarder as a CB handle at one point when I was out fishing with a buddy and started talking to his Uncle on shore about where they were catching salmon. The reason I picked Sailboarder is because that's one of the other things I do... Sailboard. In fact I just got back from my annual trip with 12 buddies from Cape Hatteras, North Carolina where we sailboard every fall. It takes us about 20 hours to drive there from home in Owen Sound, Ontario with all our gear. I'd love to take the bike too, but most years we end up driving through snow at some point. Plus I'd look silly with a sailboard strapped to my back, while riding the bike!
Aimhigh Posted November 9, 2007 #28 Posted November 9, 2007 "tiredduck" because I used to call people a tiredduck when they said/did something outlandish (thought it better than calling them a "sorry SOB" or something like that). My signature; "Today's problems are often Yesterday's solutions"...because it is so true. so many times people just afix a "bandaid" to a problem that often leads to even more problems, or at a minimum, only solve the problem on a short term basis.
MikeM8560 Posted November 9, 2007 #29 Posted November 9, 2007 My name and birtdate. it works for many forums to rember anter having too many different ones. my sig my bike and i dont care
Orrin Posted November 9, 2007 #30 Posted November 9, 2007 I use Orrin, 'cause it's my name. I want to use OC because they are my initials and guys at work use that. The site would not accept two letters for a name. So, there! how many Orrins do you know?
Marcarl Posted November 9, 2007 #31 Posted November 9, 2007 Marca is my wife and I'm Carl. SO the names fit nice together, MarCarl and we got married. Now we ride together so it fits even better. My sig. well should be self explanatory but it changes from time to time, depends on the message needed.
BoxerX2 Posted November 9, 2007 #32 Posted November 9, 2007 Freebird, Yes that is the trailer I sell. Pulled mine over 7000 miles this year, and love it. No problems at all.
Smokee Posted November 9, 2007 #33 Posted November 9, 2007 Been a firefighter for 31 years. About 12 years ago, we started a fire safety clown troup in our fire dept. and one of the guys hung "Smokee" on me. I use 2 "e"'s so as not to anger the bear of a similar name. Don't do the clown character much any more, but the name stuck.
Rattlesnake Posted November 9, 2007 #34 Posted November 9, 2007 Rattlesnake well the reason I use that and only use it here by the way is because back in 1999 I was trying to save a rattlesnake from getting run over in the hi-way and wound up getting bit .Spent 12 day in ICU but saved the snake. And still love messing with any kind of snake. The guys I worked with started calling me Rattlesnake.
yankeereb Posted November 9, 2007 #35 Posted November 9, 2007 Chose yankeereb because I am from Iowa the yankee part. My wife is from Louisiana, the reb part. Used it as an email address for a while and it stuck. I have been a member of this group since August but this is my first post.

rosebud Posted November 10, 2007 #38 Posted November 10, 2007 Rose, Rosie, Rosebud were the names that I grew up being called. I didn't know anyone knew my real name until I got married and Phil told my dad that I had a real name - boy was he brave. My husband goes by NEWTrk, because he told everyone at work that I told him he needed a new truck and he came home with a new Black Cherry RSV instead. We had NEWTRK put on his mc plates. Oh, he has since gotten that new truck.
ErRn97RSTD Posted November 11, 2007 #39 Posted November 11, 2007 I picked mine because I work in an Emergency Room and I'm a Registered Nurse. I ride a 97 RS Tour Deluxe, so I picked ErRn97RSTD. As far as my signature, I just think you should enjoy life.... Ride Safe ~~Carl
Roadhand Posted November 11, 2007 #40 Posted November 11, 2007 Roadhand is because I work for the Texas Department of Transportation and started out (years ago) collecting traffic data throughout the state. I was describing my job one day to my dad and he called me a roadhand. Seemed to fit even though I did not actually work on the roadway. Was my CB handle, back in the day of those, and it seemed a good fit on my bike as well.
Guest jet man Posted November 11, 2007 #41 Posted November 11, 2007 I don't post very often but this one peeked my interest. My user name "jet man", is because I am a jet engine technician for the U.S. Air Force Reserves. I work for them full time as a civilian technician and on my monthly weekends as a reservists. Since I have been in the Air Force, both active and as a reservists for the better half of a quarter century, I figured it was as good a name as anything. jet man:superman:
Yama Mama Posted November 11, 2007 #42 Posted November 11, 2007 When we first got our RSV, I think 6 years ago, I started calling myself YamaMama. So it just stuck, and now most people call me Mama, which I like because I am a Mama. My slogan is the way I look at life. I am a Christian, and I am not afraid of dying because I know if I am lucky enough I will have everlasting life with our Savior. And the rest is obvious, you cannot be afraid to live life to the fullest, it is a real short period of time. If you live in fear, you are cheating yourself out of a complete life. I hope that makes sense. Mama
Guest dontknow Posted November 11, 2007 #45 Posted November 11, 2007 as head of the house i am "THE MAN" so when my girls asked if they could do this, that or the other thing i would with great authority say "i don't know go ask your mother".
Squidley Posted November 11, 2007 #46 Posted November 11, 2007 It's interesting that this thread is asked by many newer members. I dont mind it when it comes up as we have a LOT of folks joining up, and I like to hear of their choices Well mine has stuck with me since 1986. I joined the Navy in August 1985 and when I came home on leave for the 1st time from Boot camp and school, my best friend just called me it and it has stuck for better than 20 years. Besides, I like the thought of being a little nasty creature that will sneak up and grab you if your not careful
Leadwolf56 Posted November 12, 2007 #47 Posted November 12, 2007 For many years I have been a supervisor/manger, a leader of people, I like wolves and I was born in 1956. Hence, Leadwolf56. "If you're not the lead wolf the view never changes" :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:
6pak Posted November 12, 2007 #48 Posted November 12, 2007 Trucker is because that's what I did for 15 years. 6pak is because when I first started driving, when I got out of the truck on friday night, that was the 1st thing I would want . A buddy noticed it and started calling me that. I also go by 6pak on the radio. Signature is self explanatory.
junkyardog53 Posted November 12, 2007 #49 Posted November 12, 2007 i was the ultimate garbage picker, found some great old furniture and things over the years, my children called me junkyardog and i was born in 1953
