sarges46 Posted November 14, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 14, 2010 Yes. I wired mine through a relay hooked up so they always come on. I bypassed the switch it came with.

Dano Posted November 14, 2010 Share #14 Posted November 14, 2010 Yep, 2 55 watt driving lights make one well seen to oncoming traffic, along with the turn signal driving lamps and the brighter leds in the rotor covers. The more light, the better!

BuckShot Posted November 14, 2010 Share #18 Posted November 14, 2010 No passing lights on the 86 VR----have them on the Ultra. Yes they are on all the time, and Yes I do notice a difference when riding the Ultra--people seem to notice the bike coming towards them more easily. Well worth having them on all the time. friesman Posted November 14, 2010 Share #21 Posted November 14, 2010 I have lights on my G1 but i picked the bright yellow (brighter than that yellow fog-style light) so they would stand out in the traffic. I run mine a lot of the time, but in heavy stop and go traffic i turn them off as I worry about battery charge as they are 50 w bulbs. Mike G in SC Posted November 14, 2010 Share #23 Posted November 14, 2010 Both my Royals are wired for "always on". And I usually burn by bright during the day when around traffic, or leading a group. I had some put on my Road Star several years ago, the shop wired them by the book (only on with dims). Though it was a pretty stupid idea. At night,, I want to see,, in the day,,, I want to be seen. BOO Posted November 14, 2010 Share #25 Posted November 14, 2010 I have mine set fairly high so I only run them during the daytime. If I have them on at night it blinds the cages. I switch them on and off with the kill switch. BOO
