1rooster Posted November 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 13, 2010 Due to recent cutbacks my position was eliminated and I was terminated today.I was the plant Electrician and HVAC technician.I guess with cutbacks they dont need electricity or heat and air.My wife has been unemployed for a year now so I guess we can go job searching ON THE BIKE. friesman Posted November 13, 2010 Share #8 Posted November 13, 2010 Sorry to hear that, Rooster, i hope it turns out for the better for ya. The same happened to me about 14 years ago, I decided to take some computer networking classes, found out the govt had programs for older guys like me to retrain me and it has been great ever since!. It was a win from every angle! I hope that you find something that you like to do to take the place of your old job. Brian

Venturous Randy Posted November 15, 2010 Share #14 Posted November 15, 2010 Been down that road more than once in my life and it is not fun. I have always managed to get by until something comes along and have always been able to stay in this part of the country. I will be thinking about you buddy and maybe can get over to see you sometime. RandyA
