Sorry....straight across swap.....nope.

 

But.......if you change the entire front assembly you get the rotors and better calipers.

 

Someody that has done this will jump in here soon I'm sure.

Yup!! Sad truth, you have to swap out forks and calipers, but it is a mod well worth it in increased stopping power!

 

Awesome, I was planning on doing the progressive spring upgrade this winter. Sounds like I need to start with new forks and calipers.

 

Hmm, I just installed the Super Brace (group buy) will that work on the MkII's?

Does anyone know if the MkI and MkII rotors are compatible? I'd like to get some slotted ones off an '87 for sale on eBay mounted on my '83.

 

Another option, you can install cross drilled, EBC pro Lite rotors, in place of the stock rotors.

You are going to like the Progressives with the new brace. Makes a world of difference in the handling.

 

As long as you are in the mood to throw money go with the stainless steel brake and clutch lines also. NOW THOSE make a differnce in stopping power!!!!
