Has anyone tried on 1st or 2nd gens?

1988 up after market GL 1500 rotor covers on 1st or 2nd gens Ventures or RS std. I saw them on a 1985 GL1200. I just aquired a rare 1984 GL 1200 standard ( no fairing on front ), pre owner did add touring pkg off Aspencade with tour box. This winter will do this install on my 87 V.R. and the 84 GL std.

I have seen "The ring of fire" on the Ventures, I dont know what is involved, but I'd say go for it
