...I must have missed it. What type coolant do most of you buy when replacing the old? I know it has to be "aluminum" friendly but what brand and where do you get it? I am about to change mine for the first time (for me).

I buy good ole green stuff. i get the 1 gal jug and mix my own at home. usually prestone or equivalent. wal mart usually. the premix is outrageous if you calculate how much a gal of water is. if need be get a gal jug o water. this way you can pour the 1/ 2 the water into any container u want. then fill it with anti freeze. then fill the a/f jug with the water and you have 2 gal premix.

 

now after you drain your bike and go to refill, the filler neck - remove gas tank - is small, so when at wal mart get a long slender funnel. pour slowly as the filler neck is small.

remove the seat first and fill the reservoir before the radiator.
