Michael_Bishop Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Posted November 8, 2010 Last month out riding. A rider ask me if I had ever seen the grave in the middle of the road. It is 5 or 5 1/2 miles south of Franklin Indiana east of U.S. 31 on 400S. So I had to get out today so I rode out to see it.
Snaggletooth Posted November 8, 2010 #2 Posted November 8, 2010 Bet there are a few good ghost stories to go with that, eh?
waterbug Posted November 8, 2010 #4 Posted November 8, 2010 I have never heard of this but will have to see if I can find it! I am not to far from 31 so it might be a road trip some time, just have to figure out were Franklin is. Thanks for the post.
royalstarjac Posted November 8, 2010 #5 Posted November 8, 2010 We have something similar in Ga at the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 19.
Michael_Bishop Posted November 8, 2010 Author #6 Posted November 8, 2010 Franklin Indiana is 10 miles or so south Greeenwood. I'm guessing on that. 400s is around a place they call Amity. There is a restaurant on the east side of 31 called Arthur's. 400s is the road south of it. A mile down the road is the grave. I could see I65 from the grave but no exit of I65. Here is a link about it. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/462
Squidley Posted November 8, 2010 #7 Posted November 8, 2010 Those are very cool, good on the family that will protect it's deceased members. There are many people these days that could learn from these examples.
Kirby Posted November 8, 2010 #8 Posted November 8, 2010 We have something similar in Ga at the intersection of Hwy 60 and Hwy 19. Yep, this is what I thought of also when I read the original post!
ToyOdie Posted November 8, 2010 #9 Posted November 8, 2010 You should have saved that one for the Geat Venture Scavenger Hunt:thumbsup:
