Gary N. Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Posted November 8, 2010 We've been in Branson since Thursday and decided to take a drive down to Eureka Springs today. Only thing that would have made it better is if I had my bike.
midnightventure Posted November 8, 2010 #3 Posted November 8, 2010 Arkansas just gets more beautiful further south from Eureka Springs. I have been down there exploring 3 times this year. Once on the Venture once on the DR and once in the Trans Am. I thought Mt. Magazine had to be prettiest place in the state and when I took my wife down I stopped at Petet Jean Mountain first. It put Mt. Magazine to shame. There is a little town called Oark with an old general store that is pretty well supported by bikers. Curviest road to get there I have ever been on. Curvier than any of the paved roads in Colorado that I have been on.

This year we had lunch at that General Store in Oark. Great road, good scenery, little traffic, and nice people. I recommend a lunch stop if you are in the area . . .
RustyRecycledToy Posted November 9, 2010 #7 Posted November 9, 2010 I ride the Ozark roads everytime I pull out of my drive! You should have called....I have 2 bikes, we coulda gone for a ride! ( I need someone to ride of of the bikes to my new place as i am moving deeper into the hills! )
rsstar Posted November 9, 2010 #8 Posted November 9, 2010 Wish I had known you were in Branson; I was on charter there from the first until friday morning. We stayed at the Scenic Hills Inn on Shepard of the Hills Parkway just below Shoji's place. The weather was great...for me anyway. Some of the people thought it was a little cold, but I loved it. Had a great time. I am thinking seriously of going back up on the bike this thursday, or else to the Dragon. I also like going to Eureka Springs, just to lay around and relax. Of course it all depends on the weather. I am off thursday through Sunday. WHat shows did you go see. I was really disappointed in Shoji's show.....prety much the same as last year. Hope you have a good time !!
cb1313 Posted November 10, 2010 #9 Posted November 10, 2010 I live in Mountain Home, Arkansas....1 hour west of E/Springs. It was 70 degs. yesterday.... I have over 20,000 miles of riding the back roads in the last 5 years. That dose not include the miles I have done with my convertibles,,, Porsche Boxster "S" and Volvo C70. Cb
